New Girl on The Block

Hi everyone. I'm new here...sort of. I've been lurking for a while, so now it's time to say "hello". This is one of the best sites that I've found in a long time, and surfing the new posts has become one of my favorite hobbies lately. I just have to say that you guys are awesome! I really enjoy reading everyone's posts and replies.

A little about me. I am a born again Christian. but more spiritual than religious. My Christian views are a little different from some of the older hardcore bible thumpers, that like to criticize and judge others. I believe that God is way more graceful, understanding and compassionate than many people believe Him to be. He is long suffering, and loves everyone, wanting everyone to turn to Him. And, yes I do believe that He does allow bad things to happen. Sometimes we bring them on ourselves and sometimes we don't. Sometimes we deserve them and sometimes we don't......and sometimes He intervenes and sometimes He doesn't.

With that said, I try my best to be very open minded and consider the views of others. I also believe that this world, universe etc. is much bigger and more awesome and amazing than we could ever imagine. That is one of the things that I love about ATS, is that it's members get a chance to consider and explore different possibilities and new and sometimes fringe ideas. ATS members are truely "thinkers" and there is nothing that I love doing more than investigating and considering different possiblities and ideas. This is how new discoveries are born!

Well, enough of my philosophy. It's great to be here and I am looking forward to interacting with everyone. See ya around! : )

Welcome sister. Get ready to be ostracised by an overabundance of atheists on this site because if you frequent the religious forums or even mention Jesus Christ youre going to be flamed! This is voluntary persecution, but there are some very interesting topics that arise from time to time if you have the patience to wade through being made fun of for your beliefs.

This is a place where believers can come and discuss prophecy and the soon to be second coming of the Lord as we have begun the Last Days and are in the birth pains of the Great Tribulation.
