I don't think anyone here on either side of this issue is making that assertion....
But ok.
Funny though.

First of all, stop using Somalia as an example of freedom.
There you go again confusing liberty with lawlessness.
1.The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life.
To test what types of people give more, "20/20" went to two very different parts of the country, with contrasting populations: Sioux Falls, S.D. and San Francisco, Calif. The Salvation Army set up buckets at the busiest locations in each city -- Macy's in San Francisco and Wal-Mart in Sioux Falls. Which bucket collected more money?
Sioux Falls is rural and religious; half of the population goes to church every week. People in San Francisco make much more money, are predominantly liberal, and just 14 percent of people in San Francisco attend church every week. Liberals are said to care more about helping the poor; so did people in San Francisco give more?
It turns out that this idea that liberals give more…is a myth. Of the top 25 states where people give an above average percent of their income, 24 were red states in the last presidential election.
Arthur Brooks, the author of "Who Really Cares," says that "when you look at the data, it turns out the conservatives give about 30 percent more." He adds, "And incidentally, conservative-headed families make slightly less money."

Hate to step in on this debate, but I thought I had something to add to it. Its been a long time since I've been to church(The only churchs in my area were fundamentalist I stopped going after the you must burn witches lectures) or touched a bible but my friend a devote Christian always said it doesn't matter what your crimes are as long as you ask Jesus for forgiveness and accept him as your lord and savior and all that jazz. Then its and instant pass to heaven. I think this isn't true for all Christian sects it just depends what you believe but those seem like minimal requirements.
No freedom of will stepped on or any freedom sacrificed

this is true, some of the best people I ever met in my life were bible belt southerners in the army, great people. but I am talking in regards to the GOP figure heads. jesus did not stand for anything they do. they twist and turn those words to keep their voting masses malleable.
