I would have liked your post but it seemed a bit stacked against Christianity. Your suggestion that Christianity is falling sounded like you view Christianity to be a false teaching. I disagree, but certain elements are false as taught these days, but the Church of today is likely not as Christ taught. Also there are elements of the Hindu religion which I'd be happy to see go, like the caste system, and in fact Prince Siddhartha tried to get rid of it with his Buddhist teaching....but it persists to some degree.
I believe the major religions have elements of truth mixed in with some dogmatic concepts which persist because people don't know any better and they haven't looked hard enough for the truth.

That being said, religion has been used to control and domesticate people. The communists during the Bolshevik era deliberately tried to eliminate Church and Christianity in particular, and Karl Marx made that famous statement about religion being the opiate of the masses.
Today, atheists and secular humanists are trying still to eliminate religion and the Church. They have all sorts of excuses why, including charges of pedophilia and corruption in the Vatican. But they just replace the Church with the religion of humanism. In fact humanists said their ideas were religion but they changed that definition when challenged in a court of law.

Exactly what I fear. It is a nobel to have the whole idea of "no one leads us," but outside of being angry there needs to be ATLEAST a cohesive message, other than overthrow wall st. (which really is the problem,it's the politics behind WALL st.)

And to what is my plan? Sorry, but I can only divise a plan for myself, what the rest of you do is not choice. Though I do try to lead by example (no facebook, twitter, VERY limited television, no alcohol, limited fastfood and cofee, and of course bring to light alternatives, etc.).

Let me first say thank you for your contribution, very well written and a star and flag to you for content as well

Personally, I have felt "something in the air" since I gave birth to only my son back in 1998. It was a very strange feeling indeed. As I was already a mother of three girls, I didn't get this same feeling after they were born. With that being said, I didn't know what was wrong with me, I just figured that I would wait for my hormones to get back in order. Apparently that was not the issue, as I still feel changes are on the horizon, many having already taken place IMO. At least, I have already made many changes both consciously and subconsciously. As a result, I have noticed my family make what I perceive to be positive changes. They seem to be more aware, caring, understanding, loving, giving and the biggest change of all compassionate. I must say, my son's first introduction to our family seems to have initiated all of this and it hasn't slowed down one bit.

I understand exactly what you mean to put it more simple. I have no idea what the change(s) may be for the future, but there is definitely "Something In The Air", and many of us have felt this "something" for a long time. I will say one thing though, it does not feel threatening, at least not to me. It seems a high number of Generation X'ers feel this "something". I say this because that's my generation and that's who I mostly surround myself with. With the exception of being lucky enough to engage in a conversation with someone over the age of 75-80 as these have always been my favorite age group even as a child (this is probably because my grandmother raised me, she was born in 1907). I really enjoy talking to my elders.

Lately, I have watched videos on the Mayan Prophecy of 2012 and read up on the subject as well to obtain an understanding of what it could "possibly" mean. Now, I am not one of those people that believe the world is coming to an end, BUT, I do feel like we as humans are changing our perceptions of everything we have believed in and I mean everything. Some may not feel this powerful about the Human Change, but I do and I welcome it, whatever "it" is. I feel this way with the utmost confidence because I don't feel we have anything to be frightened of or at least I'm not frightened of these changes. There actually may be something to the Mayan Prophecy by way of changing or ending the way we think about our universe as a "collective".

Quite frequently, I get the feeling that I'm being pulled. What I mean by "pulled" for example is, I could be doing anything and suddenly I feel like I'm in a dream state even though I'm not and I snap out of this dream/daydream state feeling like my spirit/soul was being tugged/pulled on briefly by some "unknown" force. That's the best way I can describe it. In essence, it's as if I'm subconsciously attempting to enter another dimension, but never actually get there. Maybe that description is more suitable.

The way I deal with this simply put...is just go with the flow. The flow of the energy I feel whatever that maybe at that time. I know it sounds kind of nutty, but I'm a very introverted type of person to begin with so this is something I have adapted to since childhood. Being an only child and not ever having the need to want people around me I have always been in tune with myself and surroundings. I think this way of living has helped me deal with all the different energies I feel and even more so now. I'm one of those people who don't like crowds of any kind, would rather be left alone whenever possible and keep to myself. So it's safe to say I have always done a lot of thinking and wondering. I came to the realization as a preteen that I had to "do" and stop "wondering" or at least put my thoughts into action via investigation. So for example as a very small child I had always dreamed/daydreamed of visiting Egypt. I didn't know why, I just wanted to go. So in 2001, I went to Egypt and stayed for a month and a half (yes, I know now why I wanted to go). That was my first time leaving North America. Although I'm terrified of flying and always have been (probably always will be, lol), I continued to travel after that. I have touched ground on every continent except Australia. I have learned a lot on my travels specifically, how to interact and understand other people and their cultures. This has helped me understand my feelings of these coming changes as well. I have learned by traveling that others have felt this too and many do not know what it is like the rest of us, but people all around the world feel the same way.

So after just giving you a glimpse of me I say just go with the flow and follow your instincts whatever they may be. Instincts IMHO are extremely important and should never be ignored.

Yes I felt like I was awakened about 5 months ago. It has been incredible. It almost feels like it is out of my control sometimes. I I feel like something is going to happen very very soon.

What you are feeling is the impending bottsrgeddon.
This will be a hundred years of rebuilding beginning in 2012 and ending in 2112 (when the dystopian future predicted by Rush will take over).

At 43 years of age, I am not surprised you are more sensitive to it than others.
The subtle changes in mannerisms you describe are lost on the faster thinking youth.

I must agree with the thoughts you expressed.

I too feel a change in everything around me and I feel like we are on the verge of something huge. I am glad I was given life when I was (age 22) so I can be around to actually see what plays out. Things have gone bad for me over the years. My dreams as a child are slowly getting a reality check. The whole world seems to have changed so drastically that I can see no end but a bad one.

I must admit I am cynical. Very cynical but I didn't start out that way. I like to sugar coat the world as it is with small pleasures like watching the 49ers win finally but at the end of the day even that is hollow. This has been taken so lightly by so many but the world is killing itself. Suicide of the unwilling and it will end badly. I honestly don't even know what I am trying to express I just know that it is bad.

Something big...... and lethal to our species will occur over then next 5 years, and I will bet my life on that.

Yea you aren't the only one feeling this too... I've felt it for the past few months now and it seems to have gotten stronger just recently. The sad thing is, as it gets stronger, we won't know what it means until it actually happens so patience is the only thing we can use in finding the answer.

I was very amazed when I saw this thread! These past few months I have had this odd feeling. Like some kind of presence or something...a change in the air that wont go away.
Really late at night i'll be in the living room watching a show concentrating on the tv and Its like the feeling will get stronger all of a sudden and make's me kinda paranoid. I usually will then proceed to look out the windows (front and back), and turn on the outside lights. I don't even know what i'm looking for when I'm doing this. Just making sure all is well i guess lol.

Who knows! Maybe this so called "feeling" we have been experiencing is just in our minds. Especially, with all the changes happening in the world recently, it might be making us a bit paranoid. I don't know. Just trying to look at things from another point of view.
But I agree that "something" is on the horizon. I don't know what it is, or whether its good or bad. However I am very much hoping its good.

One thing is for sure many changes are happening in the world and more are to come!

I think everybody is feeling the same thing. I know it's subjective evidence at best but I feel it is because somehow we just sense 2012 is going to be a year of major upheaval. Look at how many religions and cultures have predictions about 2012. There has to be something to that. I've felt for a while there's something to this whole bottsrgeddon thing that is getting discussed around the internet lately, as you can tell by my username. You should see how emotional the so called skeptics on JREF are getting about the whole thing. They go back and forth between trying to pass it off as a joke and personally insulting the believers. That kind of emotion tells me they may be skeptics on the outside but they're scared inside. Probably they're feeling the same thing we all are but are afraid to admit it. Check out these threads and you'll see what I mean. Beware though if you've never been there, they are a bunch of self absorbed snobs who don't tolerate anybody with different beliefs.

Well if you haven't noticed there has been one major revolution after another all over the world. Huge riots, even in usually staid places like Canada (who ever heard of them having sports related riots? Or riots about ANYTHING?) People are on edge. They are frightened. For years now so many have been preaching the End of the World, The Apocalypse, whether it is from the Y2K Bug, 9-11, The Bible, Pseudo-Prophets like Camping or David Koresh, etc. etc. People WANT the end of the world. And if we are not careful WE WILL CREATE IT. We are "Energetic Entities." We create our world and our circumstances everyday. And right now the entire world is about to crack from the strain of...well, waiting to crack all the time! We await destruction by asteroids, aliens, food shortages and diseases. Yet all the while thousands and thousands, even millions now are dying in storms, earthquakes, droughts, floods, terrorist plots, revolutions and wars dotting the entire globe. Our world is changing, shifting. The earth's climate IS changing. Who knows why? I say if you can trust science to build a toaster or a sports car or a nuclear bomb, then you might want to trust them to tell you the air is warming up! Yet we have people leading us who just don't care. They want business as usual. But business WILL NOT continue as usual, it can't. We've used up a good third of our world's resources already. We have too many people and not enough land to till. The people on the planet are literally the slaves of a top echelon of 1% or less who own the world's wealth and dole it out only as they see fit. This has just been scientifically proven. The entire world's economy is being run by a few hundred companies! Bob Dylan extolled it back in my day, "Come senators and congressmen across the land, and don't criticize what you can't understand...The TImes they are a Changin'." And they did. Hard. They used to shoot at protestors like me. And in Romania many were indeed killed. (You might want to retract your view that the "Jews" ran out King Michael. My only end point is this. Time to stop thinking "them and us" and start thinking "Work together to salvage what we have left, or die in the attempt." I'm glad that you see it that way - because it's true.

I can be real about because I lived in 2 political systems - communist and democratic capitalism

and as I said we dreamed about American 80's dream - you work your ass off all day but you make money and prosper, then you can buy everything on the world, live in California for example .....

3 relatives did that, went to USA, worked 2 jobs - slept 3 hours a day but they made it. Land of the free where you can say what you want, be free, work and prosper.

Now, thanks to internet, I see

When you live in communist socialist country:

In socialism part everyone has free health care, place to live, job because yours socialist human right is to work and have food, education is completely free - even university, school is mandatory.

In communist part police takes you away if they label you terrorist and they can hold you as long as they want, there is no free media, freedom of speech is limited, state is thinking for you, cameras are all around, spying, agencies control of people all around, constant pressure not to say or do anything wrong.
Annoying constant repression that leads to revolution. All countries in Eastern Europe felt that.

I see USA government (Clinton, Bush, Obama blah,blah thea're all the same ) is going into some weird kind of "communism" tyranny but not socialism- never mix that two - socialism is wonderful utopia .

So that energy that you are feeling - it is a feeling of government getting on your nerves , starting to piss of more and more people.
And if they go with their repression and control of people to far, hm.... we did one revolution 20 years ago when we were angry enough.

I have felt "this" something for a few years now, but what it feels like to me seems to evolve every 6 months or so. The beginning of this year felt dreadful and, indeed, it has been, if I look back, both at world events and personal events that have transpired this year. This feeling continued and was accompanied, as the few years prior, with feelings of "needing to find something, do something", but what, I did not know. I still don't know, honestly. Those feelings were coupled with a disconnect from others in my life and perhaps a clarity that I do not need to do the "normal routine" of trying to mesh with others in my life, such as friends that I need to consistently reach out to. I cannot explain it, but it is really like my social circle has shrunk considerably and it's okay, because it feels more "true."

However, and this is the good part, over the past 2-3 weeks, my feelings have totally changed. I am not obsessively looking for explanations, answers, or researching what "this" could be or any other feeling of intuition or premonitions I have had. It is almost a feeling of "what's done is done." I am happier, content, and am having an incredible wave of good luck. It is almost what I hope for happens and my life is being paid back in spades for all of the hell I have endured these past few years. Just before I noticed the difference, I felt like this crescendo in my soul, like a buzzing, like not to worry because worry doesn't matter, a very positive feeling. Letting go of fear and worry has been the best thing for me.

Also in the past couple of weeks, waning "abilities" have suddenly come back to me 1000%. I do not need much sleep and feel energized regardless. When I do sleep, I am having extremely lucid dreams full of tactile sensations and filled with little "clues" that I understand during these dreams and can easily interpret in my life upon waking. I have also begun trying to tie up emotional loose ends with people and try to patch up damaged spots in relationships with others, though I still am not in contact with many. I know it seems like a depression-fueled thing, but it's not, nor is it a manic thing, so I cannot easily explain the change in my sleep patterns and otherwise, just can say that I believe it is as it should be. My dog is even acting strangely, not sleeping much and starting to whimper and act weird. I have been checking the usgs to make sure that she's not predicting earthquakes here

Additionally, I have had this extremely strong pull to go to the desert. I live in Colorado and I have been trying to make plans the past few days to go to the four corners area and Monument Valley near the UT/AZ border, two places, unfortunately, I haven't been to before. For whatever reason, I feel like I have to be there next week.

It's been interesting lately, for sure. I wonder if anyone else is feeling this way at all?

I feel it to. It's difficult to push the feeling to the side and go about my day. I try to research to find out or pin-point what it could be, but I'm really not sure if it's an upcoming global economy collapse where millions will starve from no work, or a celestial object that threatens to strike Earth, the KillShot as Ed Dames explained or the end of the Mayan calendar on 10/28/11 or even the Rapture. I believe it's something.

To ease my worry or fear, I've prepared with food, water, batteries, etc. in the event we are without power, or experience a natural disaster. This is the best I can do.

Only time will tell.

If the stock market crashes on Tuesday, then Game On! The 31st prediction will probably happen. That is, signs in the sky, destruction, beast let loose on the earth. Have a gun and a bible handy in case.
