Comparing a homicidal dictator to George Washington and throwing in some dead Indians as a strawman that were dieing way before his time and long

Yeah google will educate you, prop up your misguided perceptions and teach you all you ever need. There is nothing wrong with google, the problem is
between the keyboard and the chair.
As a clue, look up on google who was the first President to step down and not run for another term. Dictators tend to die in office for a reason, they
never give up power.
Lol while I do fully agree with you, I just wanted to add one little piece. George Washington and others of the time period believe in the Roman idea
of the Benevolent Dictator. The story of the farmer hero that would abandon his fields, assume absolute authority during times of war -- all for the
benefit of the country--, only to return to his fields and abandon power once the conflict has ended. That is one of the roles Washington saw himself
playing until he resigned his post. It also played a role in defining the role of the presidency in respects to being the commander in chief.
The definitions we are using for the word are quite different. I just found it amusing how someone really wanted to compare and inadvertently mixed up
two definitions of the same word without even realizing he was doing it. Nor in the end would they even comprehend it now.
Side note: The term benevolent dictator has shifted meanings since the revolutionary era. In many cases nowadays, it is used to site anyone that
assumes complete dictatorship for the betterment of the state, rather than the humble hero/ defeats threat/ returns to humble life situation that
defined it in that era.
