Invasion of Iran - plans leaked on 4chan?

As always, take everything with a grain of salt.

On 4chan several days ago (a massive image-board, the birth-place of "anonymous") I noticed a thread from an alleged State Department employee talking about a supposed plan to invade Iran, which shall happen soon.
Luckily, it has been "archived" on a different website.

I will now be giving daily updates on the Iran invasion operation, how it will begin, and when.

I will not answer questions which might reveal my identity or title.

The plans involve 336,000 soldiers and marines, 3 Navy Carrier Strike Groups, and support from our three Air Force bases in Iraq as well as Afghanistan.

The pretext for the operation will be Syrian attacks against outposts along its border with Iraq, which will in actuality be retaliation for CIA drone strikes beginning on October 26. The strikes will be so obvious and intense that factions in Syria will have no choice but to respond. In doing so they will look like the aggressors. Barring this response, we will simply claim that outposts were attacked even if they weren't. Our claims will be accepted as gospel.

Coalition forces will then invade Syria and eliminate their ability to wage war. Iran, as an ally of Syria, will have no choice but to support their ally by sending in forces to fight the Americans. At that time, NATO will begin the largest and most ferocious campaign in its history to neuter the Iranian military, blitzkrieging it from east and west.

We will not hesitate to kill anyone we see holding a gun. We will level whole neighborhoods. We will be dropping leaflets with intimidating messages. We will get our way, and we will watch it unfold on TV. This has been 10 years in the making. If you've been wondering why we've been in Afghanistan and Iraq all these years, this is why.

Without verifying material, documents, and information that can be checked independently, anyone - me, you, Daffy Duck, or the Man in the moon can, and some will, make up all sorts of fantasies from 'anonymity', or rumored from a friend of a friend of a friend and so forth.

If events, for whatever reason come to pass that are similar to this, I call coincidence.
If enough monkeys with typewriters work for long enough at predicting and prophesy, one or two of them might actually come close to the mark just through random chance and guess work.

Unrealistic scenario.
No attacks on Syria would "force" Iran to get involved.
We have nowhere near that number of personnel available for such an endeavor.

10 years in the making? I have been saying this for years. That 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan all a part of a bigger plan. Geographically TPTB are strategically flanking Iran. Without these positions they would not be able to launch such a plan. if you are smart enough you will see that 9/11 is a conspiracy, that al-queda is CIA training camps for rebels and miltitia used to insight violence and terror throughout the region. Egypt and Libya are both apart of geographically preparing the area for war. Personally, I think the US will find out that this won't be as easy as they think. I don't see Israel surviving, do they even have a missile defense shield? Because for a country the size of large city, it wouldnt take much to annihilate it. Then again USA and the powers that be really don't care, there is no oil is Israel. They are after the bigger prize.

Also consider the zealots that want the bible prophecies to come true to support a religious "I told you so"

No wonder Obama was elected. If I am right he will be regarded as the anti christ and possibly the last US president. There will be no election in 2012, because he will use WW3 to suspend elections under the pretense of war.

I hope US fail and Israel gets annihilated. Anyone know what Russia and China will do. That right? No one does

Israel may not have a missile defence shield, but they have enough nukes to turn Iran at least, into putty. If you take a look at the countries who have been invaded, and even the countries who are turning against their leaders and revolting, you would think that this is the way things are panning out, but as Iran as an end plan. 9/11 is sketchy, both wars seem to lead to nowhere,

You have a good point here and this may of happened in the past aswell. I have heard that some of the elites are trying to fulfill biblical prophecy in their own little way. The way things are heading, you could be right aswell.

They are pretty harsh words considering their are plenty of innocent people in Israel who most likely do not have a clue what is going on at the top of the chain. Imagine the USA being defeated and then having to surrender everything to the middle eastern countries, including the likes of China and Russia. I disagree with the political system aswell, actually hate what they all stand for, but either way if it came to me standing next to my brothers in a war, engineered by the government or not, I would stand with my countrymen and allies. The thought of being enslaved by another country full stop keeps my alliance with the USA. At least we understand each other

my words maybe harsh, I just think I would get more enjoyment out of seeing them fail than their plan succeeding, nothing pisses me off more than secret BS being used to invade or conquer, either have a reason to invade or don't bother.

For example, Congo is one of the most violent and despicable places on Earth but no cares about that. No oil, or religious bonuses from helping the women and children there. Just saying, they are obviously picking battles that benefit them. I say use power and strength for good not evil.

After reading all that, I don't know, but it's a plausible scenario.

Beyond oil, natural gas is hugely important and the largest fields in the world outside of Russia sit in Iran. It probably didn't draw anyone's attention when the OP in the thread was talking about hydraulic fracturing, and how badly we're screwing up our own environment.

I just wrote a 400 page book intimately related to this issue, and what I learned was the U.S. Energy Policy as of 2005 became quite explicitly any fuel, any way, as quickly as possible. Not willing to deal with the consequences of an economic slowdown which would be inevitable if our consumption was curtailed, all relevant environmental laws were exempted from shale and tar sands exploration.

I don't know the military details, but this guy knows his energy policy pretty damn well as best I can tell, and I firmly believe securing energy resources is a big part of why these pieces are moving into play. Later, the moment will have passed.

And I do think there are people who think of this as another 1945 type scenario where the choice is either push on, or draw an unhappy line for the future that will require a huge resource commitment. I've read enough neo-conservative AND neo-liberal stuff to believe that, so I'm going to continue watching this closely.

Real or fake?.. mileage varies, but only a few days to find out!.. doomers!! better than the 2012 thing thats months away.

Syrian elites could refrain from knee jerk, take "official" high ground.. then respond later via proxy. With help from willing elitists elsewhere.
