"Well thats asking to much for someone that has allot to share with someone who has nothing..."

The same idea could apply to you dc4, why don't you sell that computer you are typing on right now and feed some homeless kids that have no food with the money.....isn't that more important than your stupid computer? BUT you won't. Know why? Because it's YOUR stuff and you won't part with it, that money is HER stuff and she won't part with it.....same thing. You are just as selfish as the lady rolling around in the money, so am I. I am not going to give up what I have for someone that doesn't have it, when I get paid friday guess what? I am going to Game Stop and am going to drop $60 on an Xbox game because I want it, you know how many loaves of bread I could buy and give to hungry people for $60? ALOT

You point would make sense if I didn't use my computer to make my living and the fact that I do not have $1mil or even $1000 to roll around in while someone takes pictures of me...

FYI I give money to homeless people all the time when I have it even though today I went to the store and had to figure out what I can buy for the week with $38 so I can eat...

I also do not waste money on games....I am smart enough to get them for free

Just because you are selfish and do not care about anyone but yourself do not assume we are all like that especially since you do not know me so its interesting that you would make an assumption that you in some way know anything about me... How do you know I am not posting from the library computer and don't even have a computer? You don't but you know what they say about people who assume?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure where you're going with this. It seems that you want to argue that because the banks ripped off the money from the public, then Bernie is evil because he ripped it off the banks? If thats not it, what exactly is your argument here?

But the money story is interesting in itself.
Back in 2000, EM.TV bought a large (1.1 Billion dollars) share of Formula 1. But that sent them bankrupt.
EM.TV goes bankrupt. Bernie keeps the money. $$$$

They (EM.TV) were bailed out by Kirch, who also payed an extra 600 Million to gain control. To do this expensive task, Kirch borrowed 1 billion from Bayerische Landesbank and 600 Million from Lehman Brothers and JPMorgan Chase.
BUT after all this, Kirch still had no voting rights whatsoever. It was a purchase with no control.

Where does all this leave Mr Kirch? Vulnerable, in short. He has paid out $1.54 billion but has not yet gained control of F1.

The Economist

Kirch went bankrupt.
Bernie keeps the money. $$$$

Bernie then changes the company structure, so the holdings that Kirch had (now in receivership) is worthless and complete control goes to one of Bernie's other companies.
After lots of legals wranglings, a company called CVC ended up with these holdings, and a few years later buys even more percentage from Lehman Brothers.
CVC is now down 5 Billion dollars.
Bernie Ecclestone is still in charge, being CEO of the companies owned (mostly) by CVC.

Whether or not you like what he's done in f1 you can't fault him for figuring a way to make money. He's a just shrewd intelligent businessman and he shouldn't be hated on for achieving success.

The ows movement seems to want to deny people the right to build wealth. I don't understand this idea.

I see all these posts where people are upset over this as simple jealousy. She has more than me, shes bad....she should give it away.....but but but I don't have as much as her so I can keep my stuff. It's not even logical to me. It's her stuff, her money, her bed to roll around on, sorry you and I don't have it.

And this ladies and gentleman is the problem with the mentality of people these days, why should I pay for something when I can get it for free. They feel they are OWED things. Forget the money you're stealing from people who worked on what you feel is yours, they don't count.

Where I am going with that is.... when he screwed the banks on the money, Our government in the US had to bail these banks out meaning the banks don't get screwed the US Tax payers get screwed... So in turn he screwed me over to become a billionaire... But yah maybe I am wrong by using rational though process... that doesn't seem to go over well with some people on ATS

I play very few games.. if I could not get them for free I would not buy them so they are not losing anything from me... also very little of the profits from games as with music and many other things go to the people who actually make them in fact the people who make the games still get their paychecks the only person who loses is the CORP who sees less profits but since they would not see my profits anyway they are not losing anything...

I do not think i deserve anything for free and that is not what I said..

I also did not say she should give away all of her money no one is going to do that but after doing some searching I fail to see her giving any of it away to anything other then her buying expensive things.

I am sure she could donate the interest alone she makes from the money she has in the bank and never even know the difference or bat an eyelash but she doesn't...

But hey she has $1200 shoes so I guess it all works out in the end

The pendulum swings and swings.
In 100 years when everyone has been socialist or communistic for a while your grand kids will fight for capitalism.
Then after everyone has had their fill and starts to get lazy, it will go back to socialist or communist.
