Ok. You do not want to use electrolysis in an enclosed space like an underground bunker. If something goes wrong or is setup incorrectly, you will be building up two flammable gases. Pure oxygen and hydrogen.

If something goes wrong, one of two things will happen. Either the gases will eventually be ignited or will be potent enough to replace the breathable oxygen and suffocate you to death.

On a side note, someone in this thread mentioned that you cannot weld dissimilar metals. That is not entirely true. It is done all the time. Take an aircraft carrier for example. It uses a bimetallic strip to attach the aluminum superstructure to the steel hull.

The bimetallic strip itself is explosion welded together. That is, two plates of dissimilar metals are placed on top of each other, plastic explosive is placed on top of the stack, and then it is buried and the explosives are detonated.

The force of the explosion fuses the two dissimilar metals together. They can then be used for whatever purpose.

Oh come now, lets pool our money, spend a few bucks on some plastic water bottles and some stainless steel plates and a lightweight battery, and we'll get some girls to sew up some parachutes or something and then we will have the makings of an airship.

We will use HHO, to power the props, fill the light weight vinyl tubes inside the larger air chamber also with HHO.

Then all we need to do is build a lightweight frame hotel, under it, and we will sail the world high above the clouds like aristocrats.

If you need more power, just lower a bucket get some more water, and Bobs yer uncle.

If you want to go down, you pump the HHO in the inner tubes into canisters and compress it.
To go back up, you release the HHO from the canisters back into the vinyl tubes.

I don't understand what this thread degraded into. Yes I suggest reading a book or researching before doing this, but I don't think every nut with an internet connection is going to be constructing a zepplin in their basement.

This is whats wrong with the world today. The people have lost their vision. If the Wright brothers listened to everyone who said "It will never fly" they never would have got off the ground.

Even in the 50's people were strapping rockets to their back hell bent on going places in a big hurry.
