Mysterious Sound - COLORADO - 10-19-2011

I heard the same sound, only louder here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland a few days before the big earthquate in Japan in March. I posted in one of the noise threads at that time.

After the Japan earthquake there were several sights that had a an actual recording of the earthquake.

Here is a link to one of the recordings and it sounds eerily similar to the sounds I heard.

Great recording OP!

I listened to it with my studio headphones and to me it sounds very similar to that famous Florida sound (where that couple thought, it's a nearing tornado), only a bit farer away maybe.

Sounds like a jet keeping within range of hearing.

Its not like aircarft have to travel hundreds of miles in one direction to another point, they are aloud to circle, train, excersise, test, stay up in the air, etc.

Today we have strong activity too and one close to this sound location M 5.0 in Mexico ..

Find not always in that area have eq activities, like magma (t.plates) movements are worldwide and make echo or sound of pressure in magma chambers-tunnels etc ..

Maybe Gods are angry what we done here and send us some signals to shake Mother Earth ..

I'm not trying to be a dick I'm merely pointing out that this is a global phenomenon and many people have heard similar things, all I did was provide you links where people discuss hearing similar things, but if you already knew that.... then why ask?

I guess I should have been more specific in my OP. I asked to see if anyone recently in my area may have heard the same thing I did. I know your not trying to be a dick...never though you were. I appreciate the help and links you listed I actually found them useful. My point of making a new thread was to address the here and now in Colorado for locals on ATS that may have heard it in a "fresh" discussion.

Yea I have talked to a few people that have heard it today but were to busy to pay any attention to it other than "huh weird....moving on". Boulder is in the direction I heard the sound. When you heard it what direction would you say it was coming from??

I find it interesting I can finally confirm/validate the noises around the world from first-hand experience. Up until today I was taking it all with a huge grain of salt and passing most of them off as miss ID.

I would agree that this definitely sounded more "atmospheric" than earthly. I could be wrong its just my interpretation of the sound. To me it sounded like it was "UP" not "DOWN" I did feel vibrations from the noise but they were super super low freq and very subtle but still noticeable.

I have seen the NASA tests you are referring to and as far as I know we don't have anything of that nature here. To add the NASA tests included a HUGE cloud...today (day i recorded the sound) was cloudless (like not a single cloud in the sky) so I don't think its the same type of testing.

As far as any engine or tests I cannot rule out. The military/government has A LOT of DoD land around here they could do pretty much anything with outside of public scrutiny. I have lived near this land most of my life. They often do artillery testing and such but this is nothing like it. I can pretty much identify the noises coming out of DoD territory. This however is NEW, this I haven't ever heard before so if it IS something being tested on DoD land, its NEW.

I thought about this before I even decided to record. Hell I even looked throughout the sky with some binos to see if there was anything up there. Nothing, nada, zip, zilch...which in and of itself was somewhat odd as there is always at least something in the sky. There wasn't even a cloud in the sky...

If it WAS a circling air-craft it would have to be 35K + for me not to see it, but the sound was too loud for something that high...It sounded like it was low.

Again I'm not ruling out an exercise of any sort on DoD territory which is in the direction the camera is pointing in the video...However If this was common enough to be an exercise I would have heard it before...and this is new.

the exact time of the sound, or as close as I can get it is roughly 9:30am to 10:30 am. GMT

its been on and off the rest of the day. I heard it again this after-noon when I was on an outing for work at around 1:45pm to 2:15pm

This topic is becoming more and more mysterious as well as very frustrating...I wonder if any scientists were ordered to find the source or if THEY know what the source is already and just aren't telling us. I know , everything ends up being a conspiracy theory , well , if someone would get to the bottom of these types of things , not to mention many others, people like me wouldn't be suspicious.
I want to know , personally I feel we have a right to know , even if it is something non-threatening , however,it's NEW for us , it's DISTURBING as to what it could be,and it's GLOBAL.
All these "new" to us things are popping up..solar flare awareness , seemingly larger earthquakes and frequency,HAARP suspicions,mass animal deaths,mass protests globally,strange actions with governments and space,etc,etc,etc.
This was all I could find pertaining to scientific involvement. Not very comforting.
I just hope it's an after effect or ongoing effect from something benign. But I want answers and I feel as though we won't be getting any anytime soon.

Nothing in this area large enough to be releasing the kind of steam needed to make the noise on the video. The video actually doesn't do the sound justice, it was much louder in person.

I'm leaving my suss on the DoD land to the northwest of me (camera was pointing northwest). The only issue I have leaving it at that is this is an acute incident. DoD has had land up there for longer than I've been alive and I've never heard anything like this. So if it is them, they are doing something new. If it isn't them its still something new to me.

As far as factories go we have an old steel mill in Pueblo (aka Steel City) but thats about it. The Mill is almost 180 degrees from where this sound was coming from though. The mill is also partially decomish and very underutilized. Its basically a ghost-town with small opperations left. This sound wasn't from the mill, of this I am positive.

Why wouldn't the Earth make noise? I used to think this was the sound of a jet-blaster crop duster, but now I do not, not after reviewing so many incidences of this "identical", "exact" sound! Even the undulating sound of it!

I love mother earth but these sounds are down right "scary". Mother Earth is scaring me with these sounds. I think the posters are correct.....it may be the earth. The solar system is going through the middle of the Milky way galaxy right now I think ........Maybe it is the angle of our solar system.....hitting the Milky way.......or magma moving around for the flip......either way...scary stuff. I pray for us and our little planet. I do believe humans are mostly good. Stronger activity we have today think some 40% from usual days, more EQ around M 5.0 more movements of magma or tectonic plates everywhere in World ..

Is good they are not to strong, thinking for possibility to connect that movements for that sounds worldwide ..

If we post here all with open mind we know very soon what is reason ..

Earthquake signal can be hear it 2 hours to 24 before Earthquake, hertz signal from 0.5 to 70 ..

Many people monitory this signals audio or hertz software visualization, we see and hear movement with this signal worldwide ..

In every station on Earth stronger signal is similar and can be seen in farthest place, some differences have but Earth looks like is not so Big and very connected ..

That's way I believe in this connection, but we need time for be positive and people to post when they hear sounds like that ..

at around the 0:06 mark in the video I can clearly hear a little "steam" being vented..

I'm up in the foothills and it seemed like it was coming from the NW but I can't be sure. This was the first time I've heard that 'air' noise as opposed to the 'deep underground' noise. Sounds like you're fairly close to the mountains. If you know anyone who lives in them, ask them if they and feel hear the underground rumbling vibration at night.

We have very bad situation here, looks like that sound what OP hear is magma (t.plate) movement and pressure ..

Only hope this Hawaii earthquakes swarm finish very soon ..
