Violent anti-austerity protests grip Greek capital

Greek police clashed with black-clad demonstrators outside parliament on Wednesday during a mass rally called to protest against a bitterly resented new round of belt-tightening needed to avert default.

The view of the ancient Acropolis was obscured by smoke from burning piles of rubbish and a bank building was evacuated after being set on fire by petrol bombs as a strike called by Greece's two main unions degenerated into violence.

So here we have a country whose government, much like ours, has spent itself into insolvency, and expects the people to bail them out. Even with the majority of it's citizens against the new measures, they will undoubtedly pass it to appease the banking cartel. Watch with great interest if you want to know what is in store for the US. Once again the world bankers are pulling the puppet strings. I can only hope that the Greek citizens rise up and remove these criminals from both their government and their country!
