But it's "highly speculative" conspiracies...

lol, yeah exactly why I took it as something serious.. It's a highly speculative theory.. posted in the highly speculative theories forum.

And like I said before, I've seen waaay more extreme ideas brought up here before.

Your server is under maintenance, or has experienced a power outage, or the school didn't pay their hosting account dues, or your url has been redirected by server upgrade tech mistakes, etc etc etc

Your in school for ITT, and when a problem occurs your first response is that anonymous did it ? I seriously hope you don't get a job with any of the 3rd party service providers I use, I can see it now

I have an issue with my vps, it isn't working. "well the first thing I am going to look at sir is whether or not anonymous is involved, we will run a diagnostic after we know for sure"

Educational standards must be at an all time low

IRL I'd do what the school taught me diagnostics, DUH!
I was kind of kidding but also entertained the possibility.
So what there are cookier people on here sheesh.
So anyway, I would run through diagnostics, ie virus, and spyware/adware scans.
check firewalls, etc... see what the manual says (No JK).

I doubt that any member of anonymous would join a public forum tying themselves to anonymous while not relying on a proxy to protect themselves. You sure you have "many connections" as you stated ? I read your response before you edited it.

what is a proxy ?
and what is anonymous ?
where is my umbrella ?

My cat loves you guys now.

btw... he likes tuna.

Next time he overnights in the Anonymous Clubhouse, feed him because in his frantic hunger, his angry brainwaves were shutting down car ignitions, street lamps and internet websites on the way home.

Hmmm

Sorry, but who are you ?

''We''. LOL.

However unlikely, what would make an attack on Idyserenity's school's computers, carried out by someone under the Anonymous banner, any more or less legitimate than an attack by another group of geeks under the same Anonymous banner ?

Yeah... Exactly.

The Anonymous paradox.

To you Anonymous is

Anonymous (Group)
for everybody else:

And I was pretty sure they were pissed off at the education system/college etc.
Am I wrong?

I mean idk too much about them. Just what I learned here.

No, it is not ANON, it is your school's server and the website. My son goes to ECOT of Ohio, a home school program. Their website goes down on occasion, and lessons come up missing, turned in work doesn't show up in the inbox....Normal things. Do like we do, and make a hard copy backup of all completed lessons. This has saved our son a great deal of work.

And i think you believe being a white hat , while acting like you know one things or two about computing
Yes, im using different proxies, and alway have my toolset ready with mt VPN

white hats vs black hats is only a medi approximation, in a world made with shades of gray

So , go ahead and tell me a big lie and show how you could sniff my TCP packets thru the rotten ATS security system, go ahead and make me laugh my good Sir

If I ran the school website, it would be up and running again by now.

I just learn more and more each day how inept this online learning environment is.
Some of the teachers oh boy.

I can do the work and back it up...but first I need to know what the work is lol. I should have saved the assignments' on my hard drive, because I need their outlines for the work. And one is a group project so I need access to our discussion board because I also didn't save the groups discussions in my HD. I never saw it go down and so I thought I was ok...Boy was I wrong!

Nah I don't think so, I don't know why you would jump to that conclusion. I'm sure it will be fine after they fix the problem.

I'm just glad your not a detective..haha

I don't know all I know is I am gonna now be three days behind instead of two. :/ I didn't do much Monday and Tuesday looks like some all nighters ahead...yay! Not...yeah I procrastinate, I was already having an anxiety attack about 2 projects being due in the same week. This is not helping.
