OWS Convention.

Discussions on how to proceed will begin tomorrow at a massive General Assembly at 7 PM. Here's how they describe what they're about to do:
....the election of delegates and holding of a national general assembly or convention on July 4, 2012 must be organized. No calls for violence. No calls for the violent overthrow of the government.
...Once organized and the delegates have been elected by direct ballot in all 435 districts. They must demand that our elected leaders take action. If they do not take action within one year of the demand, we will demand their mass resignations and that new elections be held so we can take back our democracy from the corporations and those who BUY power and influence with MONEY. Yes this includes unions and lobbyists.
The Citizens United case must be reversed...

Well wouldn't this be swell. Tea Party with Ron Paul and OWS Party with who?

I was reading the article this morning and couldn't help to think how much these people are going to try to rape the Constitution. The only time I ever hear them talk about it is when they are discussing how much they would "change" it.

But, maybe I am wrong. Problem is, these people don't represent everybody and they THINK that they do. They give themselves that self entitlement that they don't deserve. Apparently, anyone who thinks they aren't part of their "99%" is wrong, and you are assimilated regardless of what you think or believe... that is unless you are a banker or corporate front runner.

"This is what Socialism looks like!"

Having read the article presented by the OP, there are a few things that can be stated:

Depending on how this movement proceeds it is one that bears to watch, not only the actions of the current government that sits in power, but also this movement, as it could cause some major problems for the USA if it this movements does the wrong actions. The very nature of what they are trying to do, the very act of electing that many delegates to try to redress the government, is going to cause come chaos in the general population and affect the government in itself, thus it could be construed as a form of insurrection, and one that the federal government could shut down, if it does not act within the accordance of the law.

The current government has it problems, there are no perfect systems of governing such a large body of people to where every one is happy, however, if they are not willing to work within the confines of the law, to where they are making unreasonable demands on the government, then it could be taken by many that they are going to overthrow the government in a coup. This will have no direct bearing on the people nor represent their wishes for a better country.

While they are not wanting assistance financially to get to where ever they so choose, there are questions that are going to raise up, and the first will be, where will the money come from? After all, travel from one state to another is not going to be cheap, and the very people and organizations that they are deciding to protest against hold a lot of the money, so that is a fair question, where is the money coming from and who ultimately is going to pay for this all?

As a citizen of the US, I do not agree with the OWS, or any of the OWS movements, as they are not doing this for my benefit, and what would happen to those who ultimately disagree with them?

Too many questions are coming up on this movement, as the direction that they are moving, is setting themselves up to be a political movement and the political ideology that is being shown, not many would want a part of. Nor would anyone, when it is thought of clearly.
