Ugh...poetry.

The only thing I hate more than poetry is Shakespeare.

S&F though, I'm trying to broaden my horizens. It's hard for a Neanderthal of my talents.

I like this offering quite a bit. It takes a few readings to fully absorb the impact -- at least for me. You craft your words well, and paint a picture, albeit not a cheery one, but then life isn't always a cheery thing, is it?

I liked the second line...and I did not expect it.

I like it because you surprised me straight up...

humour mixed with some hardness... It is not sarcasm. I don't know what the word is that best describes it.

Dry humour mixed with an anger. anyone want to help me out here?

I did think of Monty Python...but I don't think you intended that?

Could imagine that one in a skit for Life of Brian

When I wrote it,I had in mind to actually install it to my story. I wrote both back to back. The second line reminded me of a story I once heard regarding a notorious trafficker on the run. He burned 2 million US dollars to keep his child warm. It always struck me as ironic. Here,Its more Worthless, due to the current situation the world faces. I can see many in the near future, burning it for warmth.......

Thank You for the kind response.

Yes, the angst in the streets is growing. I believe that my feelings were represented in the eyes of history, and the way I see us repeating in its footsteps.

Thank you for taking the time to read it........
