Thought about this just a minute ago while reading a thread that had a personal account of some life altering experience involving the devil. (Discussing it would have derailed the thread.)

Is God hiring?

Here it is:

Has anyone heard of people who freelance written work for the "born again" stories that are used to sway current and prospective believers of different religious groups?

I'm curious.

Almost seems like it could be a lucrative trade for anyone who has written fiction that ties in closely to fact. Take a look at Dan Brown's books and the type of impact it had on some people even though they are a work of fiction.

So, is God hiring?

If it was a worth a paycheck, would you write stories that would be used to increase the amount of believers out there...

If god is hiring he could do a lot worse than recruiting straight from Ats.

Do you mean ghost writing fictitious accounts of miraculous salvation in order to get a paycheck?
I don't know but anything is possible.
I could probably crank out a few holy rolling tales for some dough
and chuckle over the irony of it.


heck there where a few times I thought about being a slick preacher they get to say whatever crazy crap they want to and people listen to them and give them money to build mega churches.

Someone has to write the stories that are out there don't they? Now, it gets funny when you think back a couple thousand years... How people probably had the same ideas...

Sorry for the sacasm - I actually watched a good doco the other day that talked about how the Christian movement has always done it's best to completely discredit it's self. It really says a lot that people can still believe after all the charlatans that have almost completely destroyed Christianity's credibility.

entire kingdoms, reigns and generational influences upon societal beliefs, posturings and conflicts have been built on that same foundation ... wealth, influence and control beyond 'mortal' comprehension.

you don't have to pay taxes
you actually don't sell anything physical or manufacture an actual product
people will give you 10 percent of there income to you
it sounds like a business that is it to good to be true but it actually works

And control. God equals money and control and that is what mainstream religion is all about. That is not to say that it is bad to believe. Because it is not...

Personally I do not believe. But something that irks me is how obvious it is that when it comes to the leaders of religion, it is all about money and control. If you disagree,go check out the popes house.

The bible was written by men. In an attempt to understand the world and how it all works. It is based on the teachings of Abraham and the words within have been twisted, distorted and flat out changed by men, looking for control.

No, God is not hiring. But the idea of God is something greedy humans use as a tool to control people and make money.

For the record, while I say I don't believe, I guess really, I do believe.. Just I believe what feels right in my heart. I don't take other peoples word for it. I have come to my own conclusions and came upon my own set of beliefs
