Homeland Security; important info for repubs and dems!

Topic started on 8-4-2003 @ 03:04 AM by Thomas Crowne

Could it be that the Shrub and your "hero" are drinking buddies? This ought to be a shock to both sides of the isle!

Furthermore, most conservatives would be surprised to learn that the USA Patriot Act and the Department of Homeland Security are actually the brainchild of former President Bill Clinton. Shortly after the Homeland Security Bill was passed, Clinton appeared before a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations in Chicago and enthusiastically said, "We have been working on this (the Homeland Security bill) for a long time."

Who said that Clinton was our "Hero"? I would just prefer him to shrub. Neither political party is good. One smiles in your face and tells you everything is fine while screwing you and the other just straight out does you in the butt. I am totally in favor of a partyless system in which every politician follows his/her own conscience in running the country, rather than have to bow to a party's will. Unfortunately, sheeple prefer to be herded and to not think, which has lead to the rise of political parties. Clinton did many bad things while in office, but nothing a conservative wouldnt have done. The patriot acts are bad no matter which party supports it.

Excellent topic but bad news.

I don't like what's going on. One day, we'll wake up with a stormtrooper just under our windows.

well... getting rid of parties won't change any of that... you'll still have politicians with their own hidden agenda.
