We are all DOOMED! I agree... it's going to get worse before it get's better that is if we survive. All i know is if I am going down I will try my damnedest to make sure the people that orchestrated this are exposed and see the same fate. I only fear for my my children's future, not mine im too old to care. I grew up in the good old days we had it easy. These are dark times.. but who knows what the future brings. I try to remain optimistic and hope that Karma will be a factor. I only hunger for vengeance, and I am not alone.

When you think the world sucks, you will definitely see plenty of things to despair about, but when you think the world is great, you will see plenty of things to get excited about. For instance I live in Southwest Florida, and it has been raining nonstop for the past three days. If I was being pessimistic, I would complain about how bad the weather is. If I was being an optimist, I would see it as an excuse to play video games all day. It really is that simple of a choice in all matters; be pessimistic and get mad or sad, or be optimistic and be happy. It's all about your attitude. If the world looks crappy to you, it's most likely because you are only paying attention to the crappy parts.

BTW places like India and China are actually doing quite well nowadays. Their middle classes are swelling, so the American Dream is still alive... it has just been outsourced

I have been reading all of these posts and I didn't see what you are replying to with your mention of Iran. So sorry. But I will say this about Iran, and any other nation that you can convince me is not part of The System (i.e. the Anglo-American power elite) - the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Well put. Here's where I am: I've been unemployed for 2 years. My wife is pregnant with our 2nd daughter. I can't get a job. Anywhere. My mortgage company calls several times a day to harass me. I am getting very desperate and very angry. This is not a good place for me to be. I am fully capable of defending myself in the event that SHTF and someone comes to my door wanting to take from me, but ya know what? I am about ready to go on the offensive if someone yells BOO. Something needs to be done, and soon..

Don't sit and wait. Meet them head on. This is a pan-global revolution. Come join us.

You really think that's a good idea? When I said "go on the offensive" I didn't mean to a stupid protest that is being hijacked by socialists.

there are two things we can do to defeat the enemy.
first create a database of all secret orbanizations.each person,go to your local masonic lodge and get photos and names of members, that means shriners.catholic knights, rosy cross, whatever the muslim ones are ,etc.around the world.then find where they are working.the dots will come together slowly.
next,i have spent my life studying weapons systems and all have a fail.including satellites.all can be defeated.i wont go into them all but if you have ambition, you can defeat anything.dont despair.its the evil whose egos will destroy them.karma is a bitch.even the riot police can be beat into submission.u2U ME if your an ows who needs a key .but please dont if your just curious.we will win.tptb will go down if we hold strong and faithful.all it takes is a spark.the gasoline has already been poured on the ground.

Exactly when the day comes that blood is flowing in the streets like a river expect me right there next to you fighting along side, i feel like ravenous dog lusting for the moment. The riot police would be crushed under a wall of millions of screaming Americans... ahh i can smell the iron of blood in the air as I type this. Yes I have made plans for the day, much thought out. I think they would be quite surprised at the organization of our militias. Or defected military service men and vets coming to the final battle. It will be magnificent!

As part of the OWS Movement, I have one fear....

I fear that others will not stand up, that our handlers, TPTB, will regain their composure and courage and move to destroy all of us on the front lines before reinforcements come. This is a very critical time for the revolution. Our numbers are growing, but winter is approaching and bad weather may push us out of the public eye and into danger. I fear that many of us will be identified and taken out one by one if the cameras, and the minds of the people, are turned away. Its too late for those of us that are standing to back out. They know who we are and will bide their time, like they did in London. Our only hope is to keep fighting and bring others to the battle.

I think that we have tipped our collective hand and have given TPTB reason to fear us. They will retaliate. If they destroy us, the vision of a "boot stomping on a human face forever" will be issued in. No one will be safe from it. No one on this forum, or any forum like it, will be overlooked in the witch hunts that follow away from the public eye. We, for better or wrse, have forced them into action and they will never, ever stop until we defeat them, or we are completely crushed beneath the machine.

There is a critical mass right now, enough to keep forward momentum. We ask you to join us and push them to their breaking point while we can. While they are scrambling for a foothold, before the snow and cold buy them time to regroup. Now is the time to attack with enough collective force to dismantle them entirely. Remove your money from the banks, refuse to trade stocks, cash out insurance policies and 401ks....refuse to be a part of their army and consolidate against them. Protest. Camp out. Join the swelling ranks of the revolution. Here. Now. Today.

This LOTR quotes sums it up for me:

"The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true."

Join us.

you seem to be doing an admirable thing but I have a few questions

*have you read 'animal farm' by Orwell? - especially when the animals start to change to be like those they deposed?
*what will your OWS movement do if your 'demands' are met?
*how will you lead us into the future?
*dont you realise they dont care?
*do you realise they can wiggle their pinky and take us all out?
*why do you think a bunch of elitists that have been planning the NWO for 5000 years would be caught by surprise by OWS?
*have you considered that tptb could have been behind OWS? considering if they act like they are opposed but in secret are not, they are inciting the unrest that will hand them more power under their motto " order out of chaos", could OWS actually be working in their favour?
*IF you are making demands of them, does that not logically mean that you depend on them and have given them power over you and that the changes you are occupying for could merely be asking for crumbs from the masters table?
*how come you have the logo of tptb as your avatar?

The whole world is in trouble simply because almost all of the Earth allowed itself to be tricked into a debt based economy by people who very well knew what they were doing, and have since bombed and ruined every country not living under this imaginary debt, well, Iran is the largest country "free" from this, that has worked out so well for them, and it's obvious what's next

It's in the op's first post, my point is Iran is not a striving economy. I don't see the people in Iran living any better or being anymore free than western states.

What really concerns me is the nature of humans to either ignor, deny or delay issues that can spell doom. As a species we are not very good at proactive measures to long term future consequences..............Take personal health for instance..........or personal fiscal responsiblity. There are far more people who lack foresight in such preventive measures than those who do.

Problem is that the financial delimma facing humanity in modern society is so overwhelming that I doubt anything will be done short of a collapse...................we are just propping up a straw man right now.

While I quite agree with what you say, you appear to suffer from the same affliction as the rest of us. We have plenty of thoughts on what is wrong and why its wrong, and how it could be better, but no real plan on how to actually accomplish something. How in the world do you propose to get rid of the monetary debt system that is ruining us? I don't have the slightest clue, but would take the first step with anyone who has an idea. I hate to say it, but your words sound like they are coming from a defeated man, not someone who is waiting for the right thought to germinate in their mind. The occupiers may not put a dent in the bankers, but at least they are trying to lead in their own delusional way. We (the human race) are so intrenched in the current way of life, working hard, paying taxes and more taxes, paying off debt, and taking an occasional trip to the beach, it probably will take a huge catastrophe to serve as a catolyst for real change. We have forgotten how to work together because we are constantly in competition with one another, whether it be person against person, company against company, nation against nation, because this way of life has put the greatest value on obtaining more, period. I realise the value of a true leader and just how rare they are because the people who run this world are ruthless. All true leaders seem to be eliminated in their prime. I include myself in the population of people who are filled with fear as the unknown, and that is what we are talking about, is very scarey. I apologise for being a terrible speller. Thank you for your post and don't ever tell your wife she's right, are you crazy man?

You gotta stop coming to ATS, STOP reading the news and remember what you have and remember that the world is not nearly as bad as you think. If everything collapses, that will not be the end of the world, or the end of America. If America falls under some huge debt, then GOOD! Things WILL change. And in the meantime, things will still generally function.

First thing to change - your own attitude. If you're sitting at home and nothing is particularly wrong with your life and tomorrow comes, don't spend TOO much time wailing about the world. It starts with you, at home, in your city, with the people around you.

I believe our leaders are a direct reflection of the citizens. We put them there - ultimately we let them do what they do and they DO represent our own projections of what we think of ourselves as a race/country. When we start having better ideas, better ideals, and more faith in ourselves, the leader will be different too.

Take some responsibility for the world you live in and move from there, from just where and who you are.

What we are going through is what the Romans went through between 400AD and 800AD... and what about the British between 1900 and 1950... or even Germany between 1870 and 1945, they went from empire to collapse to empire to collapse to empire to collapse...

We are living in historic and turbulent times... the passing of one empire to the next...or the evolution of an empire in one form to another...again the Roman Republic to Imperial Rome.

The people were the same, the lifestyles changed some, but again were similar to what had passed... but people did survive.

We will, too. Now the question to ask is what is to come and take the place of what we now have. Calling for the overthrow of a world economic system is wishful thinking at best. As long as man is involved, there will be some form of trade...gold, silver, goods vs services, barter, commodities, etc... there will always be a scale of worth for anything of value.

The means of managing and distributing it is where the conflict comes in...Marxism, Socialism, Communism, Capitalism, Corporatism? People say that these are merely divisive labels..but really, they identify different philosphies and outllooks that do exist... just look at the differing opinions here.

The key is to not be defeated. You can not change the world by yourself...you can influence one part of the whole. Beyond that, you need to be prepared for collapse and rebirth... unfortunately there is a period in between those two that is unpleasant. How long that period will last and how severe it will be will vary, but it will be pretty bad to say the least.

And despite the negative outlook on those that do prepare, it is a neccessary act... there will be bad people preying on others, so guns for defense will be a neccessity. Food and goods will be in short supply... thus the need to stock up. Really, if the system is overthrown...who will run the factories that produce things... and then distribute them... and store them... and repair them? So get ready...

Frankly, and I mean this in the best way... quit feeling sorry for yourself and the world. Face the reality that things are in an absolute mess, here and abroad, and that it could get crazy in the next 6 to 12 months. Look to history and see that our situation is not unique nor unusual... merely cyclical. You need to be strong enough to see the other side...

If you die it's not for your own rights, it's for the rights of other people. I personally will die for anybody, for any reason.

I agree with you to some extent OP. Peaceful protests will achieve nothing... But let me add this, we are all a sleeping giant and all it takes is one spark to wake it up. Granted the government will do anything and everything it can to not let that happen, but it is inevitable. I guess I fall under the category of sit and see what happens. I've gone through a massive change in the past year or so (my waking up period) and for a while I was headed down a path of delusion and had to take a step back and realize what made life worth living and focus a bit more on that instead of all the negative (yet I still can't pull myself away from ATS on a daily basis
). I went through the phase of trying to wake people up, and maybe I have in certain cases but this is a path that people have to choose for themselves because most have an opinion and that opinion is rooted with emotion which makes logic and common sense go out the window at that point... One thing that I think most people will agree with is that we are sick of war, a topic that can be rooted in emotion. I think if anything were to finally awake this sleeping giant it would be a WWIII scenario, but who knows cause the propaganda machine will be in full force at that point. The late great George Carlin said it best:

I've posted this before but I believe it is very relevant to this thread.

There's plenty of hope.

I think a lot of people here and elsewhere know exactly what it's going to take to make that hope a reality.

But they are afraid to say it, and afraid to write it here.

That's OK. There are plenty good reasons for not saying and not writing all kinds of things.

But don't ever be afraid to think in your own mind about what you know deep down inside. They can't take that away from you. Not yet. And they'll never take it from me. That I assure you.

While I appreciate your thoughts your words are sad, depressing, hopeless sounding and negative. I choose to see the good in life and the people around me and I do see more good than bad in this world, every single day. I really do, not making that up. I changed my attitude and realized that living in the moment, in the present and allowing myself to feel the good, the love that is around me from friends and family is what is important. I always think, "It could be worse." Being positive is more useful than being negative and helpless, hopeless feeling and I don't think good things come out of that attitude. Just like I don't believe getting sad helps anything, I'd rather get mad because that is a more useful emotion. As far as the world is concerned, look back on history and you'll see those times weren't no easy shakes, either.

I've read lots of this site and I know what some people think and what other people think. There are tons of topics all over this site and I hope everyone's read THEM too. It should breed a little tolerance for different views I would think. If it doesn't, not my problem. Hopelessness is just plain stupid. My thoughts are not New Age airy fairy as far as I'm concerned. They're logical and essential. There is no point in sitting there worrying about the entire world. All it does is paralyze you when you need least to be paralyzed.
