What? They absolutely do have that right. Are you saying that you believe the marine in the video was committing a crime?

Ever heard of disorderly conduct? Shouting alone is disorderly conduct. He got lucky with those cops. If it were up to me his a$$ is in jail right now.

The sad news is that he's probably gonna be discharged after that.
But he's clearly a brave man and i wish him all the best.
Goodluck mr giant person sir.

I'm pretty sure he won't be Discharged for that for any reason. The military is not like you'd imagine it to be. Pretty sure even his CO would #ing give him a hi5.

Who is to say all those protesters are even Americans? Do you believe there are no foreign operatives running about? I mean Code Pink was running around Egypt before their great uprising. What's to stop foreigners from appearing in our midst? KGB was infamous for their impersonations of people in foreign countries. Oh by the way that marine is defending Canadian adbusters who are communists from Estonia....maybe he ought to think twice about his actions.

And I thought Senator McCarthy was dead, you are funny, it's them 'ol pinkies again, try a different line, McCarthy was censured eventually, (common sense prevailed) and then he died.

Right, and those communist signs were never at the Wall Street Protest. This Workers World Party group never showed up at the protest

frontpagemag.com...

Please note from the CPUSA website

This is an exciting time! Thousands of mainly young people have been occupying Wall Street for three weeks already, and the “Occupy Movement” has spread to more than 200 other cities. On Oct. 6 the actions spread to our nation’s capital.

Southern California Party leader Arturo Cambron will share how the CPUSA and Young Communist League (YCL) are working in “Occupy Los Angeles.”

This movement, also known as the “99% movement,” is being hailed across the country. Movements and organizations are reaching out in solidarity. The AFL-CIO is opening union halls and offering other material assistance. Ordinary people are donating food, money and materials.

A big challenge for the CPUSA and left, progressive movements is to link these demonstrations with the labor led all-people’s coalition and help deepen understanding that the path to progress must be through electoral and political action including defeating Republican Tea Party reaction in 2012.

We can also play a role in offering more advanced programmatic ideas like nationalizing the banks and socialism.

www.cpusa.org...

then there's this

Labor unions, communists, “community organizers,” socialists, and anti-capitalist agitators have all joined together to “Occupy Wall Street” and protest against “greed,” corporations, and bankers. But despite efforts to portray the movement as “leaderless” or “grassroots,” it is becoming obvious that there is much more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye.

On top of supplying activists to join the demonstrations, MoveOn is also staging what it calls a “massive ‘Virtual March on Wall Street’ online.” The Internet-based demonstrations are a collaborative effort with another radical and well-connected outfit tied to Soros called Rebuild the Dream.
Led by self-described communist and former Obama administration czar Van Jones, the “Dream” movement is a partnership between a host of Soros-financed “progressive” groups. Big Labor and even Planned Parenthood — the largest abortion provider in America, which receives hundreds of millions of tax dollars each year — are partners, too.
Together, we’ll add hundreds of thousands of voices of solidarity from the American Dream Movement for the protests across the country and show just how widespread outrage at the Wall Street banks really is,” MoveOn boasted in its e-mail.

Thank god it isnt up to you. If all police were like you were then we wouldnt be getting very far in life. Apparently you support oppression and hate to think of any form of free society. In fact you've done nothing but provide negativity to this thread since you've started posting. I think you dont even care about the OWS you just want to argue with people.

A typical definition of disorderly conduct defines the offense in these ways:
A person who recklessly, knowingly, or intentionally:

(1) engages in fighting or in tumultuous conduct;

(2) makes unreasonable noise and continues to do so after being asked to stop; or

(3) disrupts a lawful assembly of persons;

Sounds like you better call the cops on those police.

I support law and order. If you break it, suffer the consequences wether it be a fine or jail.

If the law says jail for disorderly conduct then it's jail for disorderly conduct. If the law says a fine, then it's a fine.

That was amazing. It was just as courageous as anything he did in Iraq. Maybe, more so because it's often more difficult to stand up to your brethren, neighbors and fellow citizens than it is to stand up to your enemy. He is a true hero and a patriot. We need more of this.

First of all, I never said I was AGAINST the movement! So get your facts straight before you make accusations. Yes, there are some officers that are making problems, but NOT all of them! People here are addressing ALL the officers, which is unfair to the ones who are trying to do right! Not to go into the details, but I hold on to a lot of beliefs you do when it comes to how Americans being thrown under the bus! I have been affected as well with all the garbage from our Gov. The important thing people need to know, is that there is two sides to every book.

And you don’t think the following isn’t childish and immature….?

Look at those stupid pigs.
Nah they only attack women and small men
the cops have no honor all they care is about a wage packet

As for this being the GREATEST movement in our country? Ahh…..Don’t think so bubb!
You sound just like a teenager who spats off his/her mouth before thinking first. And by the way…..”How old are you”! I am thinking between 17 and 24. It is kids like you who are destroying the movement. You do realize that don’t you? Grow-up!

The cops are there to enforce those laws Sherlock. If they behave a certain way you can bet they have a legal reason to do so.

I am saying the good officers who you openly cut down to nothing may need to feed their families. As for the others that are doing wrong....They need to pay for their misdeeds...

I hope all our military personal have the courage and honor to defend the American public like this proud marine did. This guy has the moral fortitude to make a stance against a system that's trying to justify attacking their own people. I hope to see more military personal take a stance like this young marine did.
