Life Starting as Nanobots?

Hi i have a theory of life on earth. This theory is about earth life starting as a nanobot technology. The first start is why the makers would make them. The first days of earth were hospitable and for life they needed to make a self replicating machine to make the atmosphere liveable. The first organism was a basic form of nanobot that drew in carbon dioxide and sunlight forming oxegen in the process of self duplication. This would have greatly impacted the atmosphere but without a balance they would have overgrown the ecosystem thus the experements failure.

Once oxegen levels were sufficient for coping with basic non carbon dioxide running organism, the makers introduced the second type of self replicating nanobot that instead of using surrounding minerals for duplication consumed the first nanobot and drew in oxegen in the process. The organism would balance the system and they would put out carbon dioxide in the process.

After millions of years the competing nanobots used techniques to cause self preservation in themselves creating the treadmill that is called Evolution

Reminds me of the Replicators from the Stargate series.

They evolved as well!

There is a neat episode of Futurama about that.

Same principal but it would explain in theory how life on earth started but sadly it brings up another question.

I think the ultimate form of robotics has to go biologic, so... Your idea is pretty much spot on with what we've seen of the past?...

Well in actuallity us human beings are a bunch of rubberbands held up by calcium bones beng pulled by our brain. And isnt it called the greatest supercomputer? Its just a mass of organics run by electricity coincidence?

And we can reprogram the mind, change pieces and interface with "old" electronic technology... We can use electricity to revive someone.

We need some form of fuel to function, have a cooling system... The similarities are more than fortuitous. Lifeforms are natural robots, constituted of natural nanobots.

But as you said... Who did it, and how?...

How does this differ from the standard abiogenetic model of the origins of life, now refined into the RNA World hypothesis?

The problem is that they were not programmed from the start, the makers never thought of the consequences, but we ourselves know and perhaps we could implement a fail safe mechanism, a self destruct mechanism, or a master reset override password
