Hi i have a theory of life on earth. This theory is about earth life starting as a nanobot technology. The first start is why the makers would make them. The first days of earth were hospitable and for life they needed to make a self replicating machine to make the atmosphere liveable. The first organism was a basic form of nanobot that drew in carbon dioxide and sunlight forming oxegen in the process of self duplication. This would have greatly impacted the atmosphere but without a balance they would have overgrown the ecosystem thus the experements failure.

Once oxegen levels were sufficient for coping with basic non carbon dioxide running organism, the makers introduced the second type of self replicating nanobot that instead of using surrounding minerals for duplication consumed the first nanobot and drew in oxegen in the process. The organism would balance the system and they would put out carbon dioxide in the process.

After millions of years the competing nanobots used techniques to cause self preservation in themselves creating the treadmill that is called Evolution
