They were disturbing the peace on private property. Had nothing to do with closing accounts.

That woman that was being arrested was obviously an account holding customer of the bank, as she was showing some of what I assume was account info or banking transactions on those papers she was holding. Not sure how that translates to "disturbing the peace' or any other law being broken. She hardly looks like a "dirty hippie" either. I would love to know more about this scenario.

Where in that video or write up did it say they were only closing their accounts? Were YOU there? Interesting how these types of videos condemning TPTB only show what happens afterwards and not from start to finish

its simple to understand. 25 people came to close their accounts and citibank made up some lame excuse why they couldnt (or wouldnt) and when the people responded negatively the bank called the police.

everybody should withdraw and close their bank account NOW while they still can.

forget credit unions...get yourself a gun, a safe, and a rottweiler.

Wright a check big enough and start a C.U. account but leave some in the bank to run on while the check clears and take the rest out till you are satisfied then never use the bank again. No need to storm in 20 at a time and make a seen and get arrested the folks in the vid got what they want their 15mins. of fame.
