The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon near Occupy Boston protesters.

The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.

Really classy OWS.

This is not how you get the public on your side. This is not how you try to change things.

Mobs and thugs are not a good way to spread your message.

This, along with the recent news of a mob of OWS protestors going into a bank and screaming at the bank tellers...shows the maturity level of the OWS protestors.

If you are protesting on behalf of the "99%"...maybe you shouldn't spit on them and go to their place of employment and yell at them.

OWS...you had a chance to do something positive and create a solid political movement. Now you are just being immature little punks. It's pretty sad.

All this coming from MSM sources, one of those being FOX.

Even if this wasn't staged, and is in fact a true event, which would indeed be shameful, it wasn't perpetuated by the thousands and thousands of protesters, but, by a microscopic portion that isn't even representative of the whole, yet, you want to judge the entire movement.

Sad.

Keep believing what you read in the MSM, and keep making blanket generalizations. I'm sure it's all 100% correct and accurate.

The Coasties do more good with less funding than the rest of homeland security, combined. The idiots that abused her probably don't know how to identify her uniform and thought that she was a police officer. If the occupy people ever get a coherent message and a defined goal, they may do some good. Until then, the riffraff and hangers-on will continue to provide bad press and tarnish whatever image they have.

Not exactly fan of the occupy movement ,but if only one person out of tens of thousands is behaving like an idiot - it is not a bad ratio.

Okay, so OWS has been mainly peaceful on the whole and now they have turned on the Coastguard?

Look at all the denial of anything negative linked to OWS.

I didn't report it...I'm just sharing the link...turn a blind eye if you wish.

This is just one of many incidents that OWS has been involved in that has been less than classy and respectful.

At some point, you have to stop saying "well this is just one little incident"...all those "little incidents" add up to define the group.

you should watch the video. i think they did a good job reporting it. they gave the spokesman for occupy boston plenty of mic time and he explained that they don't support any such treatment of others. you should watch it. it's actually pretty good.

i cant for the life of me imagine why they would have resentment to the coast guard of all groups? strange.

Someone needs their a$$ kicked.

Spitting on someone is really not called for

Keep it up and it will get brutal....and way worse for the rest of us who just want to work and make it through the winter
