Does anyone remember the fact that the original Boston Tea Party was; Perpetrated by white men, dressing up as Native Americans and committing a crime, with the intent being that the Native Americans would be blamed in case anyone saw the perps? I mean, they did commit an act of war while hiding their identities, and were happy to have another group of (oppressed) people take the rap for their actions. ( Maybe they have picked the correct role models after all. Hmmm). I'm not sure that's the kind of people I would want to model my grassroots movement after, to begin with. Actually, I'm sure that I wouldn't.

Tea Party Homophobic??? Racist???
Say it ain't so, Mr. Wizard, say it ain't so! Except for these little tid-bits, that is.....
www.youtube.com...
and,
www.youtube.com...
or, perhaps Ken Bucks, a Tea Party Member...
www.youtube.com...
Or, "Dr. Rich Swier, a Tea Party Nation leader/activist, who says about bullying gays, "This is not bullying. It is peer pressure and is healthy. There are many bad behaviors such as smoking, under age drinking and drug abuse that are behaviors that cannot be condoned. Homosexuality falls into this category. Homosexuality is simply bad behavior that youth see as such and rightly pressure their peers to stop it. In Sarasota County over 70% of all HIV/AIDS cases are due to male sex with males."
www.rightwingwatch.org...

Nah, they're just good ole boys and gals ( straight and mostly white, of course ) who want small government and low taxes.
Are all Tea Party members racist and/or homophobic? No. But I think most of them are. Did we ever hear from them until we elected a black President? No. You are what you eat (I.E., take into your system), right? Then any organization is in essence the constituancy of their individual members, correct? Many of these examples are from the leaders of various Tea Party groups, not the average lay member. The leaders set the example, and the members follow. Yes, guilt by association is appropriate here. You are the company you keep.

You missed the point. When someone in charge said something discriminative, they were fired from their particular position. "TeaParty" is holding their members responsible for what they say and do.

Can you say that for "OccupyWallStreet"?

I don't think you can.

And then after several members quit after Tim Ravndal was dismissed, they are voting again to try and reinstste him.
www.huffingtonpost.com...
HELENA, Mont. — A Montana tea party association's board will reconsider kicking its president out of the group for an anti-gay exchange on Facebook after several members resigned over his dismissal, a board member said Wednesday.

The Big Sky Tea Party Association board of directors will vote on reinstating Tim Ravndal's membership, most likely Monday, after a rancorous meeting on Tuesday night in which several people defended Ravndal, according to board member and former association president Roger Nummerdor.

I don't accept your definition of gay as a "life-style choice".

Thought I'd just mention the Tea Party Sweetheart, Michele Bachmann and her
Pray away the Gay Clinic, she and her husband run.
abcnews.go.com...

Can't help but recall some sort of pro-slavery slur from her also.

Just sayin.

Some tea partiers might not feel represented by her, but she what they've put forward.

Right on. I too want to hammer this home. Notice a sudden drop in Tea Baggers defending this bigotry?

www.newser.com...
Newser) – Michele Bachmann was already in hot water after signing a pledge that appears to maybe, sorta-kinda, call for a ban on porn. Now it turns out that same pledge included a controversial slavery-related clause in its preamble, forcing Bachmann to backpedal and the group behind the pledge to ultimately remove the reference. The section in question read, “Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President,” Politico reports.

Well using your logic and deductive reasoning. (1 person now represents an entire group)

I hate all Germans because of Hitler. Sorry German people, but I now have to hate since that one person messed it up for you.

p.s. I don't support Teaparty, nor do I actually hate Germans.

No, else you would hate all americans for this guys actions

If the leader of a group is representing something, then the group is to hate. Hitler was a tard, he represented the nazi's...and its common for people to hate nazi's because of hitler
is it fair? who knows...could be plenty of nice nazi's, but they are purposefully part of that organization by choice...so...ya.
Being german gave no choice, being a nazi was making one.

However, all a moot point. the guy was axed because they (theoretically) don't push that agenda (openly)

No, actually than he would hate humanity. All groups have their f****tards

Yes, because we would totally choose to be hated on by 35% of the world population. That makes perfect sense.

1 guy says words.. of course the only tortured logical conclusion: ALL so called tea people must share the same opinion.

Amazing.

Some people dont need "leaders" or to be led.. difficult concept I know. You characterized him as a "leader"?.. how many followers are in his specific cult? and whats the process?.. a swearing in ceremony where his followers pledge allegiance to his every word?.. or is it a term some tilted media clown invented? last I checked the tea people were rolled up into the GOP jerk-off camp by tv personalities... must be a republican leader then, eh?

This really should have been more damaging to her than it was, because whichever way you spin it, it doesn't look good.

Either:

1. She goes around supporting things that she hasn't read properly. Not a great trait for POTUS.
2. She had no problem with said passage. Not a great trait for POTUS.
