Montana Tea Party Leader Axed Over Comments Concerning Hanging Of Homosexuals, page 8

Does anyone remember the fact that the original Boston Tea Party was; Perpetrated by white men, dressing up as Native Americans and committing a crime, with the intent being that the Native Americans would be blamed in case anyone saw the perps? I mean, they did commit an act of war while hiding their identities, and were happy to have another group of (oppressed) people take the rap for their actions. ( Maybe they have picked the correct role models after all. Hmmm). I'm not sure that's the kind of people I would want to model my grassroots movement after, to begin with. Actually, I'm sure that I wouldn't.

Nah, they're just good ole boys and gals ( straight and mostly white, of course ) who want small government and low taxes.
Are all Tea Party members racist and/or homophobic? No. But I think most of them are. Did we ever hear from them until we elected a black President? No. You are what you eat (I.E., take into your system), right? Then any organization is in essence the constituancy of their individual members, correct? Many of these examples are from the leaders of various Tea Party groups, not the average lay member. The leaders set the example, and the members follow. Yes, guilt by association is appropriate here. You are the company you keep.

You missed the point. When someone in charge said something discriminative, they were fired from their particular position. "TeaParty" is holding their members responsible for what they say and do.

HELENA, Mont. — A Montana tea party association's board will reconsider kicking its president out of the group for an anti-gay exchange on Facebook after several members resigned over his dismissal, a board member said Wednesday.

The Big Sky Tea Party Association board of directors will vote on reinstating Tim Ravndal's membership, most likely Monday, after a rancorous meeting on Tuesday night in which several people defended Ravndal, according to board member and former association president Roger Nummerdor.
