This is what "THEY" want. Meaning the elite who have engineered this entire situation, and who welcome these protests which will usher us closer to the socialist, globalist world they envision, where freedom is extinct.

This is their bread and butter. Needle the populace further and further with outrageous criminal acts, until the people rise up and do what THEY wanted in the first place.

Some people see a world full of individuals with infinite potential. At this point I see a world full of controlled sheep, a few elite and a few people of conscience and wisdom. The few people of conscience and wisdom have no chance now, because the sheep are controlled all too well.

The "girl" is actually a guy. He also said the cop should get tested because he is HIV+ and was bleeding from the punch. He admitted he did give the cop a dirty look.

That said, a dirty look does not equate to getting punched in the face.

The cop was out of line and should be fired.

1st pucnh could be construed as warranted, the guy touched the cop....but the cop was attempting to strike the person again after they were down, which flies against his training. He was trained to aprehend with minimal force, to limit the departments liability in civil litigation... not to ground and pound them to a bloddy mess.



I don't know about you, but I was raised in a way that I understood Respect was EARNED, not automatically given to anyone.

COPS don't even respect the badge, why should we?
If you automatically give respect to all cops, you might want to ask yourself why.
Were you "trained" to automatically give respect to a badge and become submissive?
Do you stand up for your rights when pulled over?

Scared men and frantic crowd will do these things. I feel there is a much better way than causing havoc in the streets like stop buying from walmart, abercrombe and fitch, target, nike or any business that offers stock in the market.

Just stay home and don't buy any thing. Stop eating mcdonalds, chipotle and panera bread. Go to your local market and cook dinner for your family.

Don't pay for and watch cable tv, unless it is a local (non comcast or major cable company) Stop paying for and using the internet. Just stop buying their crap and they have no power.

So what if the big boys have billions? Those billions wont support their life style very long.

JUST STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY!

When the New York City Police grab their phones and dial 911, these guys come running with lights blazing and guns up: New York City Emergency Services Unit

I haven't even looked at a precinct map but if several teams of those guys aren't sitting having coffee and killing time each day within a few minutes distance of the Park and Wall St, then I'll be absolutely shocked. I believe the protesters will see the first *REAL* response since this began if the cops feel they are about to be over-run and that response will be brutal by necessity. These Units are trained to save lives and rescue people....but they are also among the most well trained in the world for crowd control, mass arrests and counter-terrorism of all kinds.

That commander was way out of line in what he did. The protesters, as a group, also did a bit of pushing of their own. That changes nothing for how the cop was wrong. However, I worry about one side or the other making a very stupid move or having something badly misinterpreted where this all ends very FAST and very badly. I wouldn't have any illusions what so ever here. IF the NYPD got the order to put this down and end it, right now, it would be over and that park would be clear within a few hours. Simple as that. I pray this never happens with the situation we're watching.

I just hope both sides here keep cool heads while OWS works toward it's goals peacefully.

My thoughts exactly, from the title and the way initially the crowd seemed to react, I thought it was on...

then it returned to the status quo...

Mob mentality is a real possibility, only time will tell if the police learn from their actions or if one day we see the inevitable outcome of actions like this.... and this is not an isolated case, cops every day are being reported in the news, and where there is smoke there is fire - especially in a wilderness like a crowd like this.

What really hits home...is the picture...where the cop on the bike, runs over the guy. Look at the cameramen; actually taking pictures. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! There's actually a syndrome for this...but i can't think of it's name. It's where people become spectators, to incidents...such as this one. If i'm not mistaken, it's caused by desensitizing us via t.v. and movies. All those shoot outs...beatings...erotic behavior has taken away our animal instincts. It's like the person in front of you saying: "i don't want any problems", right before he punches your lights out! Catching you off guard...subconsciously! Before those words....you're dukes up..and ready to get it on...but once they say those soft words..the defense mechanisms go kaput! There is no doubt in my mind that man did NOT deserve to be punched in the face or elsewhere...there were many officers present , they could have subdued him without incident , most people were walking along , that "cop" was obviously all worked up and itching for some action , what a dumb a$$...with video cameras and such nowadays he can HOPEFULLY receive some consequences for his obviously excessive force.

I tend to side with cops AND protesters but this cop was a real a-hole.

How did he up the ante? Watch the video below at 0:15 to 0:17 he was walking AWAY from the motorized scooters. He was walking in the direction that the police wanted him to. This cop grabs him from behind and sucker punches him. Furthermore, he did not push anyone, the result of the officer punching him knocks him into the officer behind him. Watch the cop he "pushes" on the video below. You can clearly see that he did not notice anything until the protester his punched.

Okay, If I or anyone were walking away from something in the direction I was supposed to go, and someone grabs me from BEHIND, I am going to react.

So, someone getting punched by police is funny? I don't see the humor. I'm sorry that you have to sit and in your AC cooled car and are delayed 1 or two hours to get home. I guess all the cops should just start clocking people left and right so that you can have an easy drive home right?

Im in America and until the Federal government over rules the constitution, the cop better realize Im a lawful registered gun owner too.. just better trained.

Cops are specifically trained to assert authority.

They speak in a certain cadence and tone to convy they are in charge, and to throw you off guard.

It's psychology my friend, and it is taught to cops....don't blindly fall for it.
Every time they speak to you they are building a case.

i know my history very well and all societys change, nothing ever stays the same, oppressed people will always rise up.. we can do it now, or 10 years down the track..fact is the quicker we do it the less people suffer.

God bless America. Sure a few people got sprayed or punched but everybody is ok and the protest goes on, The Bill Of Rights is in full effect here, if you tried this in Syria they would kill you and your children.

Yeah, god bless America for people getting pepper sprayed and punched at a peaceful protest. You can't compare America to Syria in terms of outcome from protests. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. You don't see any of this in the responses of the police.

It may sound a bit... hmm bad, selfish, egotistic.. whatever, but America is supposed to be the land that the people shape it to be.

God bless America for the fact that we still have the brave on our lands, not the fact that a few get pepper sprayed or punched and a handful find it acceptable.
