Yeah exactly Blind denial... by saying that Bible accounts were written several centuries after Jesus died.

How does that work when I've just stated Matthew, John & James were WITH the man they were writing about... THEY WROTE THE BOOKS!! In the time period just after Jesus died. Most of Jesus apostles were put to death shortly after Jesus died. Jude was also Jesus' half brother as well!

In James' case.... who was to repeat Jesus' HALF BROTHER he must have written the book of James before 62CE, because he was put to death in that year...

62CE isn't exactly hundreds of years after Jesus died in the year 33CE is it?

The last book included in the cannon of the Christian Greek Scriptures was the Book of Revelation... written by John in Patmos circa 96CE. Although Ephesians may have been completed circa 98CE

You seem to like lists JB123.........chew on this one!

John E. Remsburg, in his classic book The Christ: A Critical Review and Analysis of the Evidence of His Existence (The Truth Seeker Company, NY, no date, pp. 24-25), lists the following writers who lived during the time, or within a century after the time, that Jesus is supposed to have lived:

Josephus
Philo-Judæus
Seneca
Pliny Elder
Arrian
Petronius
Dion Pruseus
Paterculus
Suetonius
Juvenal
Martial
Persius
Plutarch
Pliny Younger
Tacitus
Justus of Tiberius
Apollonius
Quintilian
Lucanus
Epictetus
Hermogones Silius Italicus
Statius
Ptolemy
Appian
Phlegon
Phædrus
Valerius Maximus
Lucian
Pausanias
Florus Lucius
Quintius Curtius
Aulus Gellius
Dio Chrysostom
Columella
Valerius Flaccus
Damis
Favorinus
Lysias
Pomponius Mela
Appion of Alexandria
Theon of Smyrna

According to Remsburg, "Enough of the writings of the authors named in the foregoing list remains to form a library. Yet in this mass of Jewish and Pagan literature, aside from two forged passages in the works of a Jewish author, and two disputed passages in the works of Roman writers, there is to be found no mention of Jesus Christ." Nor, we may add, do any of these authors make note of the Disciples or Apostles - increasing the embarrassment from the silence of history concerning the foundation of Christianity.

Well, I am not a Christian or a historian, but I can tell you Jesus existed.

Jesus was a poor preacher. I agree that all he had was clothes on his back.

He was killed by the same collusion of corrupt priests and kings that continues in the modern world today.

Open your eyes and look. There is no benefit in denying Jesus.

There is benefit in 'seeing' and 'asking'.

The search for 'absolute' power has driven the animal in man for so long. This 'absolute' power means a few live like kings while all other live like slaves. The entire system has been manipulated deeply to ensure this outcome.

Lies are being fed to you day and night but you fail to see. You disbelieve the virtuous while trusting the Devil.

The TPTB have no use of Jesus now. They have grown too strong on the back of industrial revolution. Science has given them power they never knew they could ever get.

The people are desperate and hopeless. They thought science as their saviour, but just the opposite has happened. Science has only given the Devil ever new means to oppress.

You may choose not to believe in God, but the fact remains that God is the only option for the poor and the powerless.

Why would the Jews or the Romans write about a 'poor' preacher. Poor preacher isn't giving them any money.

History is written of kings because they are the ones feeding the historians.

You fail to get the point. The powerful have no use of Jesus now. They are demolishing Jesus through whatever means they could find.

They are planting in your mind the idea that Jesus is fake. Why? Because Devil does not like morals, or the idea that all men are alike in the eyes of God.

Devil loves slavery - of both body and mind.

The Devil always resorts to argument - often based on fabricated evidence. Only God gives a man power to see.

The foundation of Christianity isn't going to be documented because it's a following! Not actually a religion. None of the apostles went to the churches to tell them to join their church. but to be baptized in the name of Jesus the Christ and adopt his teachings in doing so. His existence is not important at all, however, his actions were. That's why he was sent to die for our existence. Himself = unimportant (do he died). His many acts, including his final act of death and resurrection = important (do he lived) action. Acts 4:12, in no one else and under no other name. Including churches and establishments (Matthew 8:20) and that wacko Californian pushing end times bull# on the populous. Why it's become so dominate as a historical force is Acts 4:20, pretty amazing. Oral tradition. Not documentation.

Jesus was a poor preacher but he also wasn't a politician... he turned his back on rulership and government. The Jews offered to make him King, if he would take on there Roman oppressors....

Even before Jesus could walk he effected human history... Herod had all the male children of Bethlehem and the surrounding districts slaughtered under 2 years old because he knew Messianic prophecies in the Hebrew scriptures were about to be fulfilled.....Josephus and another historian, Appianos to name but two testify to the existence and reign of terror Herod exacted on the area he ruled over.

The list of secular writers quoted above is completely irrelevant.

eg Ptolemy was a Greek astronomer who lived in the second century C.E. Why on earth would he write about Jesus or the Christians...??!!!

Emperor Vespasian also described the territory of “Palestine” on the coins he struck in commemoration of Jerusalem’s fall in 70 C.E. A fall that Jesus had prophesised about to his disciples before his death. Again something that Jospehus and other writers documented in gory detail including that the Christians, who heeded Jesus' words spoken only some 30 years previously....... fled Jerusalem in 66CE as soon as the surrounding Roman encampment headed by Cestius Gallus for some unexplicable reason pulled back.

IN A letter to the Roman Emperor Trajan, Pliny the Younger, the governor of Bithynia, stated: “This is the course I have taken with those who were accused before me as Christians. I asked them whether they were Christians, and if they confessed, I asked them a second and third time with threats of punishment. If they kept to it, I ordered them for execution.” As for those who denied Christianity by cursing Christ and worshipping a statue of the emperor and the images of the gods that Pliny had brought into court, he wrote: “I thought it right to let them go.”

However for a nation who put Jesus to death, tortured and executed en masse his followers, history attests....the World empire of Rome conceded defeat to this growing so called "cult" and eventually adopted it's tenets to become the Church of Rome - even if Constantine and his co-horts polluted and paganised Jesus' and the disciples' simple teachings of love and humanity.

Jesus not only existed, his short time on Earth literally changed history forever.

A prophet is recognized as such only after death.

So it is logical if Jesus is written about 30-40 years after his crucifixon.

People do not understand virtue at all. I advise people to read my thread www.abovetopsecret.com...

It is much better to do hard labour and eat dry bread and say thanks to God, rather than live in luxury by stealing.

People mistake luxuries for God's grace. God has no use of the material objects He has created. A person who thinks he can get to God by collecting or donating material objects is mistaken.

Purity of heart and mind is a precondition to know God. Jesus preached non-violence, kindness etc. because he knew these qualities are loved by God.

Devil has no use of such qualities as Devil has a single objective - get rich and powerful.
