Obama Administration Halts Long-Term Care Program

Hmmn, does this mean Obama Care is dead? Is our president just trying to get reelected?

The Obama administration said Friday it is unable to implement a long-term care insurance program that was part of the 2010 health overhaul, effectively ending the program before it started. The initiative, known as the Class Act, was included in the law to help Americans cover the cost of aid for daily-living needs such as bathing and using the toilet if they became unable to care for themselves. Mounting concerns that the program was too costly over the long run had prompted officials at the Department of Health and Human Services to re-examine the program in recent months. Last month, it fired the program's chief actuary and reassigned other staff.

I had read somewhere that the courts found Obama care unconstitutional.
I don't think it was ever going to work.

I predict he'll slowly whittle away what little was actually good about this whole concept until all that remains are the parts that hurt and tax us to death (literally in this case). Let's see how close that comes to true by the end of it.

My sense is that they're about to 'ratify' euthanasia for some kinds of mental illness like Alzheimer's and dementias - pulling the plug on long term care makes it necessary. This dovetails with a thread I just posted too: Rest in Peace
