The true cost to the UK taxpayer, per person, is in the region of £0.13 per year. Love them or loathe them, that is a miniscule of amount cash to pay for, especially when off set against all the other myriad things that tax payers cash is wasted on (even if you believe that this is another waste of said taxpayer's cash).
