I'm currently learning Java programming.
My only previous experience is some classes in Visual Basic and Turbo Pascal at school many years ago.

Can anyone point me to good resources on the internet and maybe some good books on the subject ?

This is a really good lecture series. I've only watched parts of it but I know it's very good. Start with the first lecture (below) and work your way through them. If you click the link below the video you'll go to YouTube and you should see the next lectures listed on the side.

This looks good, and the bald guy looks like he's very good at what he's teaching.

I will surely go through all these lessons. Thank you !
