Why did ATS just erase the meteorite thread?

I have to say what the guy posted was completely plausible. Part of it hitting the sun and all and going in the pacific.

Curious, why ATS is so scared about it.

They had that down within seconds of posting and it didn't sound like it was the other hoo haa that has been opening threads over nothing. Didn't even get a chance to click the link.



I found it to be interesting an thread, even if, it's real or not.

Seems like it could be a way to spread a virus.

Yep, I caught it too. The guy called himself Bruce Murray, & gave these links to authenticate his credentials.

He also left an email address to be contacted on, but seeing as he posted in the introduction forum I'm thinking maybe the mods are worried it may be an attempt to compromise this guy. Scary message but the whole thing could be easily fabricated by anyone.

I don't know, from the sound of the post, it didn't seem like the same guy who has been making threads about the guillotines.

Still, made for an interesting read. Nothing else going on tonight.
