Mitt Romney and Barack Obama never met to discuss the federal health care law, but Romney's advisers did. New records reviewed by NBC News's Michael Isikoff point out that "White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three health-care advisers and experts who helped shape the health care reform law signed by Romney in 2006." One meeting, NBC News reports, "was in the Oval Office and presided over by Barack Obama."

Is this somehow damaging to Romney, within his demographic? Perry certainly seems to think so, given his ad using it against him. But this brings up the question: how does co-operation between these two parties seem damaging to the American public? Surely, half the problems the US is facing right now stem from such polarized politics?

It should be damaging...

But the base will cross their eyes and ignore it, because FOX news
will not spend 30 hours a week developing a nefarious plot line to go with
the information.

TO add; I think cooperation is a great thing, however cooperation does not
lend itself to political domination.

I think this is one of the most astute sentences I've ever read on this site.
I agree completely.
