Good, I’ll tell you what will happened in a few day/ months just as your irrelevant theory’s, the U.S will convince Israel, of it's negotiating capabilities, NOTHING will happen and we will all move on, Because in America diplomacy is the ideology. It just so happened we are the world super power! Yay, and the world will listen to our misguided assumptions and more than likely (just my prediction, by the way. Israel will be attacked before any of the western countries make a move). Sorry im just making an educated guess. Not a uninformed theory, but good luck with all that. We will see who's right.

I wear my uniform "proudly". Because I come from a long history of Americans that have fought for equality and justice. We have fought tyrants, including your own government and prevailed. We have had our civil wars, physical and political, and have triumph. Are you really questioning why you should be proud to be an American soldier? We definitely have our faults no doubt, NO DOUBT. But we are a world leading super power, which strives for justice for all, liberty, and equality. Therefore everything we do is put under the micro scope. Remember this is the test of all who are triumphant; that is that, your greatest critic is your, greatest lover. I'm not trying to come off as a prick, and I agree with a number of the points you have made throughout your posts. But, every time you start bringing me in, you post something asinine such as "you have no merit in this conversation, if it wasn't for us you wouldn't be."....now, young Skywalker, # like that; that arrogance in your tone, is why people throughout this world hate us. I'm not lumping you in with the sick #s in our military that have no concept of what it means to be a soldier, no concept of what it means to be sure, even in the midst of questionable wars, that there are people who need to be protected at all costs, there are people who will look at you and listen to what you say, or how you say it, or how you treat them, and it will reflect in how their children view us when these wars end. I am lumping you in with soldiers though, that wear their uniform "too proudly". This isn't a country club. You aren't special for putting on that uniform. I don't give two #'s what they told you at basic training. I don't care what your platoon sergeant or company commander tells you. You aren't any different than the 19 year old or 23 year old young man working in a McDonald's for whatever reason he is working at McDonald's. You wear the uniform. It's something to be proud of no doubt. But you are not better than anyone else for choosing this career. I noticed in your picture you don't have a flash on your beret (which is no longer authorized for wear in ACU's unless decreed by your company commander), which leads me to believe you are a newbie. You are still green. You don't know what war is and you don't know what kinds of decisions thousands of others who have died in that uniform had to make, or couldn't make, in these most recent conflicts. As a seasoned NCO who has been blown up, been shot at, sent rounds down range, and seen friends, civilians, and enemy alike dead on the battlefield, I can say this. Please stop embarrassing yourself. We just might be a superpower. If not THEE superpower, certainly one of THE superpowers. But that doesn't make every thing we do right. And that doesn't make everything the rest of the world views as "wrong", wrong. It's all in how and your comrades carry themselves in those nations. Nope, Iraq invaded a country that was stealing its wealth by slant-drilling and annexed the country, didn't treat it like a colony to be looted, I don't agree with Iraq's decision to invade Kuwait, but there is nothing dishonourable about it.

The 1st gulf war was a true worldwide effort, I was there I know. We had Norway to our south and Germany to the north along with France.

I'll freely admit that the current Iraq war is BS, but the first one was justified.

My point was about whether the US acted honourably or not, not whether the liberation of Kuwait was justified or not.

Kuwait would never have been invaded if the US even hinted that they would oppose the invasion. Instead they led Iraq into believing that the US would not oppose Iraq annexing Kuwait and immediately after the annexation changed their stand. Not the behaviour of people with honour.

This is all exactly what will happen. Our governments are concentrating on creating another source of power in Libya, and hoping that this variation of the Monroe Doctrine will create two powerhouses that will struggle disrupting the attempted Pan-Islamic Block.

This is so disastrously stupid that I can't figure out if most of them are wide-eyed idealists with their heads in the sky, or if there are a few primary actors in amoungst them who are actively working to create the Islamist Empire.

All the Islamic states are always happy to talk peace. Peace means that *you* submit to Allah's laws. They will continue to be quite happy to negotiate the terms of the surrender of their enemies. That's all of us.

Think like a chess player, not a pawn.

Watch the movie "Network" and "century of the self".. learn about edward bernays (Sigmund Freud's nephew) to get an idea of the chess game going on.. these troops are just pawns on the grand chess board.

Bernays propagandist wisdom is reflected in "Network".. people can be more easily controlled, sheep kept docile, if they think someone else is fighting for them.. all most sheep need to see is someone perceived as influential, articulating their rage.

Gives sheeple a false sense their truth is being spoken to power.. surely, some body will take note and do something. But nothing will... controlled opposition.

There is a part of "Network" thats particularly poignant , a rant about how there are no virtuous govts "of the people", no real politicians.. but a vast international business network in place whose goals are all that matters... they'll steer the masses as they see fit.
