Very true, I don't think that many of these kids really know why they're up their, not as a group. Sure, they all have their own individual theories of just why everyone has assembled, but do they have any clear reason as to why so many people have organized? It sure as hell ain't to bring down the corporations, or at least I hope not, because most of them look to be my age and I don't know that my generation could live without our technology and the conviences it provides. I grew up on a farm and I know I'd still have a hard time making my way in life if I couldn't pick up a meal at the nearest set of golden arches.
anyway.. headed back to the park now.. peace

I don't wish these people harm, but Atlanta will be very foolish if they send cops into this mess right now. Let things die down and people get on whatever they get high/drunk with and go to sleep, then roll this whole thing up just before dawn when everyone is bleary eyed and in a daze. No one gets hurt and squat camping a public park comes to an end.
I respect first amendment rights, but the rights of the protesters must also take into consideration the rights of the taxpayers who will have to cough up cleanup costs. No one can suggest these people will carry out their own trash and clean the area properly. Protest? Absolutely. Turn a public park into KOA? Sorry... That is where we part company.

my.mind.is.mine, I have a serious question when you get back to the thread here. What is being used out there for the live feeds in terms of the connection and equipment? I notice the degree of coverage or whether there is any coverage at all varies greatly from one camp to another across the nation. I'm sitting here wondering if there isn't some way that folks like me who have bins of surplus computer parts and misc gizmos of all types couldn't be of some help by passing some of that to the Occupations where it could be used to good effect?
I can't help but think that more reliable coverage which normal people could find of their own area/state occupations might go a long way toward encouraging folks to venture out and introduce themselves.

When winter hits here soon, everyone will be heading home to keep warm! I have asked 5 different people about OWS. Didn't get one definite answer. Friend said he was there, because that is where the party's at! Another also said there were some pretty hot chic’s hanging out! Am I the only one who can see the direction OWS is heading? It will eventually be hijacked! I cannot see the youngsters running the show now mature or organized enough to put this off, without another entity more organized to do so. I see a lot of wannabe journalist, but that’s about it! Just my opinion of course……

Hey i'm not bashing you, i watched the video and kept up with most of the thread, i couldn't find any info from any of it, i'm just asking a question and stating my opinion. The video looked like everyone was still in the park and only part one still.
So to clarify everyone moved to the sidewalk?
Also i wouldn't call anyone a do nothing, as i can see, in all these occupy events people are literally doing nothing, at least you on the other hand are broadcasting what's going on, and i'm proud you are doing so.
I was at Occupy DC, i drove hours out of my way to do so, and was just greated by a few idiots not knowing why they were there. I'd ask them why, most of all of them give the same response, "to stand up against corporate greed." Well you are all there, do something about it. I went to DC planning to get arrested, but evidently everyone else up there would rather be able to go back to the comfort of their own homes that put their lives at state, and i think that's wrong. If you want to stand for a cause, you should be willing to loose it all for it.

Just caught up, bout to watch video 2.edit on 12-10-2011 by doom27 because: (no reason given)
Edit 2 -
So i watched the other video. About the same. Seriously though whats the deal with people repeating? What are the people just saying, "HEY EVERYONE REPEAT WHAT I SAY!" Talk about following the pack.
Why are people screaming at the police? I didn't know the police were the enemy, the police are doing their job, if they do that again, i beg of you to talk some sense into the crowd, if the police get out of line sure, but they are just doing their jobs, the police are not the enemy. The Fed is the enemy, the bankers are the enemy, the global elite is the enemy.edit on 12-10-2011 by doom27 because: (no reason given)
