It is very clear what has happened with the Occupy movement over the past week. The Big Labor Bunch has climbed aboard, The Radical element has climbed on the train and anyone else looking for exposure for their movement du Jour has also joined in as well.

It's time to shine a little light on some of the behind the scenes players involved here. These folks love to use moments like these to rally, instigate and inflame. To those of you who support this movement as a whole, you should play close attention to those who are moving behind the curtain. Then again, some of you will certainly embrace this...

This is just one of many players

“Occupy Everything” is the culmination of a decades-long effort by militant radicals to create and fund a mass movement that has broad popular appeal. With the enthusiastic help of the institutional left, that effort finally seems to be working.

Case in point: Lisa Fithian. Fithian is a career “community organizer” and anarchist who specializes in “direct action” protests, and who has close ties to labor unions. She has been on the ground at the #OccupyWallStreet demonstration since its inception.

Local television station NY1 interviewed her as an ordinary “woman on the street,” presenting her as just another well-intentioned New Yorker who’s worried about the big, mean banks.

NY1 did not mention that Fithian lives in Austin, Texas, and failed to inform its audience about Fithian’s true motivations or her lengthy activist resume.

Her History in a nutshell... she's probably buds with van jones

It doesn’t take much digging to discover the real Lisa Fithian.

Here’s how Byron York described Fithian in his 2005 article on her role in Cindy Sheehan’s anti-war protests near President George W. Bush’s ranch in Texas:

Fithian is a legendary organizer who operates in the world of anti-globalism anarchists, antiwar protesters, and union activists; an advocate of aggressive “direct action” demonstrations, she protested the first Gulf war, played an important role in the violent shutdown of Seattle during the 1999 World Trade Organization meeting, was a key planner in protests at the Republican and Democratic national conventions in 2000 and 2004, and organized demonstrations at trade meetings in Washington, D.C., Prague, and Genoa.

Fithian went on to try and co-opt volunteer work that was being done in post-Katrina New Orleans, and helped train protestors for the “RNC Welcoming Committee,” an event that led to the widely publicized story of two young men being convicted of making Molotov cocktails and shields with sharp screws that they intended to use to keep Republican delegates away from the convention.

Her webpage shows that Fithian also has extensive ties to the labor unions that have embraced and Astroturfed the #Occupy movement. In the 1990s, for example, she began working with the AFL-CIO and United Auto Workers across the country performing “direct action” protests, such as harassing employers or staging displays of civil disobedience whose intent was to provoke police into arresting hundreds or even thousands of people.

Her philosophy

I am not a pacifist. Part of the way I talk about that is that I was raised in this culture, which is a very violent culture and I understand that I have some violence in who I am.”

Just be aware and be ready for what a distinct element has in order for this movement in the near future. The love in is about to end very soon... The rhetoric is heating up and the actions will follow...

A little more from Fithian's mouth from 2001

"I have no issue with property destruction. I think sometimes it’s appropriate, sometimes it’s not. Again, I look at it strategically. Does this help us or does it hurt us? Does it help us achieve our goal, or does it not? We’re in a society where property is idolized, so a lot of people don’t get it yet that it doesn’t really matter. It’s just glass or products."

Nothing about this movement is upfront and honest. Yet the sheeple gather.

Ahh, the now legendary title of "community organizer", what a broad brush stroke that is.
Obama's only claim to experience, is also the title of violent anarchists. What a coincidence.

And people swore on their mommas graves that this shindig was spontaneous and grassroots, hahahaha.
The most precontrived hogwash movement of all time is what it is, once the light gets shining in the proper places.

Portraying this thug as common NY citizen, and people are saying FOX is bad, the media that is for this movement is all lies.

Excellent thread OP.

it became very clear to me early on since their protest of corporations and not a peep about big labor which we all know means big union which gives billions to buying politicians.

the name of the game end corporate representation even those orgranizations and people are tax paying citizens and have a vested interest in keeping their jobs.

its stacking the game in favor for them where they are the only game in town to pick and "buy" their politicans so they say but thats always been the name of big labor they have become what they so often demagogue.

its not about helping the common man its about getting their cut and "getting people to love them for it"

that whole charade is so transparent if funny.

OWS is a good thing. although unfocused. America has created new laws for corporations. New laws against the American citizen. More rules to obey. Less freedoms for the people. Capitalism has failed the states. I dont know the answer because it is not my field. But someone should create something new and fresh

WOuld like to know more about Her so I could understand how she created OWS rather than a few tidbits

Like this person or not... All battles must address the same question. Had we tread lightly on English soldiers the Founding Fathers would've found themselves kneeling at times outside the church house. Oh, and flying a different version of our flag. Do you have a nut sack and a brain? Apparently both hers outweighs yours.

Corporate entities (labor unions included) subscribe to the same MO. Subvert cause to turn profit. The Occupy movements face threats from all sides.... Doesn't mean a convoluted spirit will evolve.

It simply means there's going to be challenges involved as always.

They are only leaders when the people follow. She did not start ows, and she is not one of its organizers. She just showed up. All you have done is posted someone else's article that has a very obvious agenda in dicrediting the people on the ground fighting for your future, good job.

The people that started OWS, and are still actively leading it are Canadian activists, that are involved with the firm Adbusters, and in no way are they anarchists or political puppets.

In their own words

"global network of artists, writers, activists, pranksters, students, educators, etc..who want to advance the new socialist activist movement of the information age. Our aim is to topple existing power structures and forge a major shift the way we will live in the 21st century."

Comparing the organizers, or even the rank and file protestors to the Founding Fathers and the brave men and women who fought and died in the American Revolution for Independence...who spilled their precious blood upon this soil...is neither ballsy, nor erudite. It is foolish and cowardly to claim that mindless protest is the stuff of revolutions.

Could be but the tide is turning. Rederal Reserve is supporting OWS, Obama is supporting OWS The democratic party is supporting OWS, Lisa Fithian now has showed up along with Van Jones and OTPOR (CIA) operative Ivan Marvic who was key in organizing protest and inflaming the Serbian war during the 1990's. Could anyone tell me how this group singlely or collectively represent the voice to get rid of the banksters and their cronies? To clean up corrupt politicians? To end the Wars and bring the troops home. Restoring civil rights? These are some of the people who have created or continued the very things people claim they are protesting.

I absolutely respect your views, however...
Capitalism had it's time in the US and it has brought nothing but destruction to this world. Sure capitalism has brought joy to materialistic people, but it has taken away from those less fortunate. Maybe it is time for a new type of society. A society where all are equal.
Do people really need a 5,000 sq. ft. home with an indoor swimming pool?
Our society live way too comfortably. While some are chilling, soaking up the sun on a yacht, we have others who are desperately trying to get by with the wage they are given.
Some will say, that they "work hard to have that money". It is important to understand that most of the rich inherit their wealth.

Nice credentials.

I dont see what the problem is, we have a woman who is waking the sheep up and your complaining? Granted she may not be leading them in the right direction , but once they hone their critical thinking caps they are sure to work out how the world really works.

Here's a nice methaphore, I started with Dr Greer and Mr Wilcocks when I awoke and dident go on any websites, 2 months later I joined this site and started to sive through fact and **** , to be where I am now. Yes these people uncluding mr Alex Jones may be wolves in sheeps clothing but they are doing US more good then the government, they are setting people up to critically think.

Thats my $0.02

I love it. Star.

I agree with him 100%. I must add that OWS is a breath of fresh air that is needed on the political landscape at the moment. Honestly, wtf is the teaparty? seriously, What is the tea party? All i see is old people with monkey stuff animals claiming not to be racist. Old people upsets me... lol and that is american? really? that is american? To be old and crippled and claim that you are not racist by saying you hate everything Obama does. Every walking moment!

This is the opposite of that. extreme opposite. we need it it is here. This is what freedom is! all people being heard, This is 100% freedom! Rather than the "american brand freedom". This is true opinion

Btw founding fathers are dead, we live. now we must unite all!

We are really grasping for air with posts like this...

So im suppose to feel lied to or betrayed because a woman is a legendary organizer or protests and an anarchist?

I understand her statements 100% and I agree with them....why is this a bad thing?

You're the disingenuous propagandist who attempted to compare the petty poutty limp wristed protestors to those who fought and died in the American Revolution for Independence. Typical of the Marxist, you lose the game and cry:

"Nuh-uh! I didn't lose. You lost! Loser, loser, loser! You're the loser, because your not the laborer and everyone knows that labor is the means of production, so you lose, loser! See? See how you lost? La la la la la I can't hear you - loser - La la la la"

Could you find me an example of that society? Communism has left nothing but death and destruction in its path. It simply collects everything from the people and gives it to the oligarcy. That is what we are experiencing right at this moment. This isn't about capitolsm this is about a hand full of monoploy people buying all the politicans and passing laws against the people and for the banksters. Your precious leftists, communists and globalists have already brought us to ruin. We have already had enough of their take from the poora dn give to the rich. While people claim to protest wall street they endorse Obama and his Administration who is wall street. How do people explain they are putting people into office, protest against their policies and protest against themselves by saying they want more. Go figure I certainly can't made sense out of it.

The answer is a far complicated one that involves something new and fresh. No old system (such as communism) will work. we need something new. NWO is right over the rainbow
