Did FBI get wrong man for anthrax killings?

www.msnbc.msn.com

If the authors of the new paper are correct about the silicon-tin coating, it appears likely that Dr. Ivins could not have made the anthrax powder alone with the equipment he possessed, as the F.B.I. maintains. That would mean either that he got the powder from elsewhere or that he was not the perpetrator.

If Dr. Ivins did not make the powder, one conceivable source might be classified government research on anthrax, carried out for years by the military and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Just because the guy was whack and had an unhealthy obsession with KKG which linked him to the vicinity of the mailings doesn't mean he was a homicidal maniac.

To me this case shows the classic signs of finding a flawed fall guy, hounding him to death, then coming out with the "evidence" and pinning it on his casket.

By all means Dr. Ivins connections to CIA scientists who worked on weaponized anthrax should be thoroughly investigated. Will they? Well, that is another question entirely.

There is a documentary called "Anthrax Wars" you might want to check out.

Kind funny that many of the people who got the letters were enemies of Ole' Shrub....

Exactly. That is what the linked thread goes into, the first death in the attacks. Why would the offices of the Sun receive a letter?

Don't forget the FBI first went after Steven Hatfill for the anthrax. They
harassed that man to no end (including running over his foot). Hatfill
sued the FBI for a couple of million ...and he won.

The FBI knows what's up. They just needed a fall guy to cover their
tracks. And when they couldn't get Hatfill they went after someone
else.

Well duh.

No kidding. The guy didn't make military grade anthrax at home like the FBI claims.

Only a few countries high tech militaries can do it. So good luck for an average guy to do it... even with the knowledge, you still need equipment... high tech stuff.

Their claim was he made it in his lab at Ft. Detrick. Turns out it might have been coated in silicon and had trace amounts of tin in it. Which rules out him making it in his lab at work...
