I am not a very religious sort, but in general I do not see sex work as a safe or lucrative longterm career, and if you as a man see a prostitute you are also taking your life into your own hands. It is not good for you. It is not even that fulfilling. A healthy prosperous society does have a large porn industry, because people generally are happy and prosperous enough to form families and friendships. Our country has been culturally debased and economically warred on for over a generation. I won't force laws on anyone. I just would push to educate people.

I would like to see folks form labor unions and political action groups to improve social and economic conditions. We are overworked and overimpoverished as a society, and things need to change. If we live as lone wolves all the time then we can do no better than to devour eachother. Even our food is treated as if was a dime whore. Look at the crap we eat. As to relationships, we can't have it all. We have to settle for what is realistic and non-abusive.

i think you need counseling other than that the rest of the speech was okay maybe you should work for csi svu except for the ''bottom feeders'' part
our government much like rome created all the sickness that is our country today so before you rationalize your
own beliefs based on feelings you should learn not to put people down by being hurtful in a broad sense.
have a nice day

As others have clearly pointed out, forced prostitution is not the same as prostitution. The only issue would be the regulation of legalized prostitution to ensure that things like this didn't happen. The truth is though that this probably would happen in a place like the USA if prostitution were legalized.

We all know that the government's ability to regulate anything is limited and misguided at best, but does this mean that it shouldn't be legal? That is the real issue in my opinion. Would legalizing it cut down on the need for these organizations to force women into prostitution? Probably, but would it be enough? That is another issue. It is kind of like asking if legalizing drugs would cut down on the amount of cartel violence and the drug trade in general.

I wonder how that report would read if the poll was done in a place where prostitution had been legal for sometime??

I'd expect a totally different outcome.

Legal or illegal,Prostitutes,Strippers, those in Pornographic movies..............

It all involves money.

I wouldnt seek out or pay for sex, especially after finding out the majority have been sexually abused. MHO

Masturbation is an act, that costs NO money.

A LOT of women are sluts. Prostitutes are just the ones who take money for it.

No, but you think there is nothing wrong with those women? I mean you would say that a healthy, active, accomplished individual would at any point in their life need to pursue prostitution for no good reason? I guarantee all of them had some traumatic event during childhood, or some experienced some abnormal stresses throughout adolescence, or in general would tell you that they are only in it for the benjamins.

If you guarantee these claims, then go out and prove them, shouldn't be too difficult if they're so self evident? People get upset about two consenting adults paying negotiating a price for sexual conduct, but have nothing to say about institutions like the Catholic Church?

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. Im not a regular here (anymore) .. but the other day I logged on ats and first thing i seen was something about paying for prostituton..Ats you have f***d your site up with negative energy, way to much nonsense and judgment (also hate) directed at your site alone... reason why i dont come here anymore. You should make rules of respect and attitude Ats.
If you think prostitution is a good thing.. you are so in the dark and led astray from your truth. This topic is disturbing alone, especially one getting THAT much attention on a website like this. .. Ats as a whole needs to grow up Spiritually. Sex isnt something you should be going around doing... everytime you have an orgasm, your giving away a STRONG and large amount of your energy. And prostitution.. you give away alot of energy, for what reason money ? Doesnt money get enough energy put intoo it alone lol..

This site from a spiritual (i know Ats isnt about spirituality.aspect is disgusting .. log onto this site and its instant bad energy, you people feed off of an energy which is real life while your occupying your minds with matterless topics and things you have no idea about. Again back @ the prostitute thing... why do you think human beings have 1 child at a time.. they arent ment to # around.that energy is an energy of creation and many others things...

~ We are spiritual beings having a human expereince

I only have one rationale in regards to prostitution.
The first lesson on economics when I was at high school was the law of supply and demand.

If there is no demand - supply would be pointless.

If people are not prepared to pay for sex the prostitutes will see themselves in an empty market.
That opens the opportunity for the would be prostitutes to seek employment elsewhere.

Just think - just imagine - no person ever even considering the idea of handing over money for the act of sex.
Hold that thought and imagine a world where there is loads of love - more love than sex.
I wonder whether people would hand over money to experience love as opposed to sex?

Well next time the general populous is in control of their planet and destiny we will have to ensure that firstly, there is no money and secondly sex is sacred and to be valued within a respectful society that is based on all the tenets containing love, peace, respect etcetera.

In terms of living in a world full of love and peace I feel like a kid in the back seat of the car - Are we nearly there yet? When are we gonna get there?

Much Peace...

There's a good portion of them who are intelligent women and work to put themselves through university and buy a house. Prostitution is one of the 2 easiest ways for a woman to make mass amounts of money - the other being drug dealing which is probably more dangerous in a lot of scenarios.

You have a point about forced prostitution and the child sex industry but there's a large portion of prostitutes who are making an informed, conscious choice and either enjoy the work itself or enjoy the money that comes from it, or both.

Note that I have never used a prostitute myself but I have nothing against those who do. In situations where the woman is being forced into it and/or has childhood trauma issues/drug dependancy then that's a problem, but its not the case for all prostitutes.

Completely agree - which means women need to be more free with their bodies in general and less choosy about who they sleep with. Then maybe I'll have a chance

Did you ever stop to consider that the lure of easy money, has nothing to do with this appealing to some women taking up these activities? You or I may find morally bankrupt and a profession for those with poor self image but really it is also a magnet for those that are just lazy.

You are funny. I always have a problem when the word sleep is used when the meaning is sex.

If people were sleeping together then there would be no sexually transmitted diseases, no unwanted/unplanned for babies and perhaps longer lasting relationships.

When people learn to use the correct words for what they are trying to describe then maybe we can move towards a less chaotic and stressful world.

You won't get lucky when you use words like 'loose' to describe a woman. Good luck though!

Much Peace...

Now that's an idea. Putting a value on something that you may or may not even be able to prove is real. Pretty novel; "Get ya chunk o' love here! Patented and registered! Get yo own slice o' heaven on earth! Limited supplies! Right here! One day only! Fie dollac!" Really though.

Technically, I wouldn't be a bottom feeder unless I paid extra for that kind of service and if I was into that kind of thing.

Spot on argument man, top notch, star for you.

I always wanted to pay for a prostitute but never really had the guts to actually go seek one out. Plus lack of money.

I know that some go into that "career" because they just love sex or are nymphomaniacs and so decide to make money off it instead of giving it out for free. I say more power to them if that's the case.

Thsoe being forced into it through slavery, sure, help them out but don't tar everyone with the same brush if some decide to do it to pay for college or because they enjoy the physical sensation and feeling sex gives them.

I didn't say loose and I meant sex.

I see prostitution as a symptom of a repressed society.
