I've seen different numbers; depends on how you want to calculate it, using which variables and associating x assets to y people.

Thanks, I would have thought the Poplulations of the India, China and the 3rd World would have far outweighed the higher income but less population of the Developed World. Still doesn't sound right to me.

With such a highly skewed distribution, the mean average is pretty meaningless. Most people earn less.
