This documentary will explain to you

Watched this film last week. It will explain their crimes, and crimes they are.

I'm saying the government works for wall street, change the government if you want to change wall street, that's all

Now that you make it sound so clear and simple...

Trouble is life is never clear or simple.

I was interested until I saw Alan Grayson. He is a lefty nut job which is why he was voted out of office last year. Find a more credible source if you want to convince someone like me (your opposition) to see it your way. As of now you are only "preaching to the choir" which is a complete waste of time, because those that read this thread already agree with you.

If the government works for Wall Street, that means the corruption of Government is the product of Wall Street.
So, you elect new politicians and they are corrupted by Wall Street just like the last guys.
And you elect new politicians and they are corrupted by Wall Street just like the last guys.
And you elect new politicians and they are corrupted by Wall Street just like the last guys.

And you say, change Washington if you want to change Wall Street, and people have been trying that for decades, but the only ones that are measurably successful at it are the lobbyists with tons of money...from Wall Street...who change Washington and buy off politicians to make legislation...for Wall Street....

Heaven forbid people take their complaints directly to those pulling the strings, right? The people who benefit the most when the system succeeds AND the people who benefit the most when he system fails...the people who never actually seem to lose...the people who have the entire economic game rigged in their favor...yeah, ignore them...

I watched that awhile ago and it seemed like propaganda to me.

for crimes committed against the US people try this one, The Money Masters, but I've got a sneaky suspicion you know all of this already.

Crimes committed against humanity is more apt for the sentence above.

Why are you my "opposition"? If you are a tool who puts partisan politics above enacting real change, then I guess you are but... you don't have to be that tool. Why can't you just realize that, even though it's not aimed at exactly who you want, it's still doing much more good than nothing... which is what everybody else is doing. Instead of saying "they should be protesting DC! Rabble rabble harumph!", you guys should be saying "Hey, let's go protest DC while these guys are protesting Wall Street!". It's because people can't just get over themselves!

It's the whole sour grapes mentality. Some of us can wear big boy pants and aren't still fooled by this left/right crap. Even the Tea Party is coming around (as I expected they would) and seeing this is beyond petty party lines.

Hm ,propaganda ... your observation is wrong ...just see the names who refuse to give interviews

It was elaborate propaganda, how come they interviewed people like Barney Frank and George Soros, people who explicitly stated that there was no housing bubble, but they conveniently ignored the people who saw the housing bubble long before it became apparent -- people like Ron Paul and Jim Rogers?

Haha. I know. The way it was put together, it is, by definition, "propaganda." But you notice how if you agree with the ideology of slanted information, it somehow "isn't" propaganda?

Actually this doesn't explain it. When OWSers are asked what they want, they babble about everything from minimum wage to health care.

Furthermore, what these directionless people don’t understand, is that government CANT provide for you. As a matter of fact, every program that the Federal Government has touched, has been ruined or bankrupted or both. And they want working Americans to give this monstrosity MORE of our tax money? Are they insane?

If you want to end the control exerted by Wall St. on our government, they should be occupying D.C. Drive out the politicians who are slaves to the lobbyists and special interests.

We need LESS government in our lives, not more of it. Is it really that difficult to understand?

Furthermore, we need to end the private for profit entity which has enacted a debt based currency and destroyed our dollar, causing recessions, depressions and financial bubbles: the "Federal Reserve".

Why do people keep asking why they aren't protesting DC? THEY ARE. They are in DC right now. In fact, an "occupy congress" idea has been floating around the movement.

I'm noticing a huge generation gap between those who get OWS and those who don't, Kinda reminds me of "If it's too loud you are too old".

Turn off Fox news already.

The US deserves what ever havoc the financial sector wreaks.

Why - gullibility and blind faith in capitalism.. Refusal to regulate anything because of the obsessive compulsive like fear of communism. Which translates to anything that sounds even remotely like a socialist ideal being shut down and considered commie propaganda.

I guess people expect the protesters to drop their s***, pack up their things, leave their homes, and either buy a plane ticket or drive hundreds of miles to DC where they congregate. The protests are set up so if you want to join in, you can do it at a local level.

People are just overly critical of the protests and try their hardest to find faults in every little thing that they think they aren't doing correctly.

Most people spouting off believe in Capitalism more than their own god. Furthermore, most of them have never read anything by an actual Communist author. All they can do is say "Marx" even though if you really look at all of what Marx wrote he wasn't a commie. He was really a confused anarchist. A lot of the misunderstanding stems from our use of the word "state" which was defined by him in a different way than we use it. Nuance isn't a strong suit of most American's these day's though.

What OWS movement?

The Democrats and people like George Soros, Michael Moore, Van Jones and the Unions have taken it all over. Once MoveOn got in on it along with other Soros groups and Unions, the DNC took it over. Whatever it was to begin with and nobody knows exactly, it is now a DNC operation.

The problem with protests without any clear message and no organization is that they are easily taken over.

I understand that people are angry and resentful, but why become a tool of your own enslavement by joining some manipulated movement? I've seen video after video, not MSM - but OWSers' own videos promoting themselves, that make them look plain goofy and obviously ignorant of how the system works.
"We want massive government spending on social programs but we want an end to debt!" - waitaminute - these people have no concept that their demands can only be paid for through deficit spending and continued domination by banks. Make up your mind. Do you want to depower the banks? Fine, that means the federal government must be massively shrunk and an end to deficit spending and Keynesianism. It means you have to rely on yourself, not the government.

The protests are just a bunch of people showing how ignorant and easily manipulated they are.

Abraham Lincoln has advice for you people: "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

"They" are not scared. They are laughing at you. Their system will probably collapse but it has nothing to do with protests. It will be because of their own hubris and incompetence. Then those that rebuild will be people with intelligence and ability who very likely have nothing to do with these clown festivals that will only serve as talking points for pundits and politicians.

Thank you for pointing out the craziness and contradictions in the OWS message.

Really, for those in OWS who are under 25, I understand how they still look through the world through inexperienced eyes and think they can have it both ways. What I DON'T get is the people who are old enough to know better.

And there is the point.
If the OWS crowd was in DC protesting the weasel politicians that WROTE the laws, the Tea Party, would be standing with them.
This crowd is protesting the headache that a tumour caused.

I protest the tumour.

I'd like to give you a big ol' Georgia kiss! Exactly right, friend.

We should still get a thesis/petition together and have over whatever the heck the limit of signatures on it before congress will look at it (I think it's like 1,000?) and send it in at least that couldn't hurt. But they'd need to have a leader for that to be attempted.

Wall st. pays those politicians to make the laws that benefit them, they are the puppet masters, why would we go to the puppets first? Logically it makes sense to go to their masters, does it not?

This protest movement has absolutely been taken over by the progressives, communists and radicals. To a degree I agree with Herman Cain, they need to be protesting the man in the White House.
