I have been looking for a particular crash I know was captured on video,
but I haven´t been able to find it anywhere.
It was the first of two crashes of the JAS 39 in Sweden.
I found the second crash. It´s here:
No one was killed in this accident...(MPG)
I´m sure there must be alot of other crashes caught on video.
I know the purpose of a plane is to fly and not to crash,
and there are probably many who might find this post offending...
Anyway, I take my chances...
Anyone have any videos of this kind?
Like the one I provided here...
Maybe the first JAS 39 crash, which I was looking for in the first place?
Same pilot as the above video, BTW. He survived both crashes.
Picture of the first crash here:
external image
And forget the 9/11 crashes, please.
I´m not interested in those...
EDIT: typo

Do you have a link to it?
I assume that those who would find it disturbing wouldn´t click in on this thread in the first place...

PM.
No-one died in it, it's a crash-landing rather than a crash
If anyone asks really nicely, I might share my F-15 videos but they are big..

Email them to me and I will host them for a period of time (2 weeks after the last access should do it).
I will put up a page when I have 2 or 3 files.
RichardPrice@wiredworld.co.uk
I have no limits on incoming filesize, but you may have a limit outgoing, if thats a problem, email me without the file and I will give you an FTP
login to upload it

The links to the JAS Gripen crashes are now dead. However, I've found both crashes on YouTube. The same pilot (!) survived both crashes. Here you
go:

Since non-members cannot see the videos I embedded in that post above, here's another format. The videos are not exactly the same as above. I.e. the
first video is a longer version.
From Wikipedia:
In February 1989 the first prototype crashed on its sixth flight when landing in Linköping as a result of pilot-induced oscillation. The accident
was filmed in a now famous recording by a crew from Sveriges Television's Aktuellt. The pilot remained in the tumbling aircraft and escaped alive
with only a broken arm.
In August 1993 a Gripen crashed on the central Stockholm island of LĂĄngholmen during a low altitude, low speed manoeuver at an air show. The same
pilot, Lars Rådeström, as in the 1989 incident ejected safely. Despite large crowds standing by watching, no one on the ground was seriously
injured. Like the first crash, this one was caused by a PIO.
" only a broken arm". Very lucky...
