In Texas we have a town by that name on Hwy 79, in Milam County. Sadly, it's where the late, great rockabilly singer Johnny Horton [The Battle of New Orleans (1959), North, To Alaska, and more] was killed in a car accident on November 5, 1960. On a more whimsical note, although not a definition of the name, is the old timers rendition of how the name for that location was coined.
