I don't think El Heirro is going to cause a Tsunami on the eastern seaboard even if (when) it errupts. Besides even if it does create a tsunami we would know about it before it got here.

I don't see spending 29.95 to find out you are about to die.

I agree not cause to panic, but just want people to be aware as don't have a great deal of faith in mainstream media.

Keep an eye on reports and spread the word.

actually they are free, but most of the stations have preset broadcast from areas far from where the stations are.

also they wouldn't interrupt broadcast for emergencies because it would interrupt advertising.

It has been ruled on in court that they don't have to its not their legal responsibility to do so.

So if you dont have the money, you die.
I've seen some crazy things, but this is way out there!!!!! Keep your radios on, listen to Ian on Coast to Coast, he will NOT tell you, as he brushes everything under the rug and would not want to inconvenience his denial. However, theres a small chance the news will tell you at the top of the hour

While it could erupt...big could...and while there is some evidence of landslides on other islands in the Canaries, there is no evidence of this one doing the same thing.

Is it something to keep an eye on, yes especially if you live there, but I would suggest calming down a bit

Can we share info? What is the best free alert system?

There is an an escalation at el heirro, doesn't mean if it erupts there will be a landslide that could cause a tsunami, but worth keeping an eye on it.

Not so I am afraid to say.. El Heirro does have a history of major landslides..

"There is evidence of at least three major landslides that have affected El Hierro in the last few hundred thousand years.[12] The most recent of these was the 'El Golfo' landslide that occurred about 15 thousand years ago, involving collapse of the northern flank of the island."

Quoting from your own wiki article:

Local tsunami are likely to have been triggered by these landslides but no evidence has been found to confirm this.

en.wikipedia.org...-Masson_2002-11

Its the doom and gloom tsunami that I meant that should not be worried about

Key word, local
