Why is it that Obama desperately wants more revenue but he only wants the Bush tax cuts to end on those making over 250k?

We obviously need more revenue. Even taxing those making over $250k a year at 100% of income would not cover the deficit, but Obama refuses to push for the removal of all the Bush tax cuts.

He even keeps blaming the Bush tax cuts for the deficit, so why not repeal it all? Why did he vote to keep the Bush tax cuts for everyone in place in December of 2011?

Could it be that those making over $250k only represent a small percentage of the voting population, and it gives him someone to make an enemy?
