I don't usually post here, but this song is so intellectually dark and mysterious yet the lyrics hit so close to everything I've conjured up in the realm of thoughts to those who've done me wrong in the past..

Let's say perhaps a feel-good and FU song wrapped together in one, you'd find much joy in sending this to particular individuals... The actual song is only 4:40, but this clip has an unintended session segment attached after it (hence the 8 minutes). Lyrics Written below, Enjoy!

Lyrics:
I am the line, I hold you near,
There is no burden left to bear, I can see clear,
You're in suspension, you know no love,
There is no story left to tell, You have no wisdom to pass on,
I am the soul of absolution, No man can hurt his own illusion,
My hands are crippled from the pain, You are the splinter in my vein,
You put your head between your hands, and understand, Nothing it is,
I feel the answers keep you scared, I've put the harm inside myself.

I am the line, I hold you near,
There is no burden left to bear, I can see clear,
I am perfected, I know no void,
I have no conscience to keep clear, I understand there's nothing more,
You try to kid yourself with questions, Pleading in time for some correction,
I found you tied onto the cross, with judgement on your every thought,
You know my words all mean the same, you've buried here to isolate,
And in this prison in your mind, WELL YOU WERE BORN WITHOUT A SPINE.

When did you stop caring? (x4)

Your thoughts?
Good day...

IDK. I think the best "up yours" song goes to Theory of a Dead Man:

Put the bottle down, finally got somethin' to say
Take another look around and find someone else to play
(Needless to say) That you've got problems
(There's no #in' way) that I'm gonna solve them
(It's never the same) Every time you slip, then you fall down, down, down

Ever wonder what I been thinkin' about ?
I been thinkin' bout throwin' you out

I'm so happy about you (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I'm so happy now we're through (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I was so afraid, now you're gone away
Sent you packing, look who's laughin' now
I'm so happy that I feel this way
I'm so happy that I threw you away

Put your problems down and pick up what's left of the pain
Take a good look at yourself and see who's really to blame
(Needless to say) You got issues
(There's no #in' way) That I'm gonna fix you
(It's never the same) Ever since you went fallin' down, down, down

Ever wonder what i been thinkin' about ?
I been thinkin' bout throwin' you out

I'm so happy about you (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I'm so happy now we're through (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I was so afraid, now you're gone away
Sent you packing, look who's laughin' now
I'm so happy that I feel this way
I'm so happy that I threw you away

I'm so happy about you (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I'm so happy now we're through (I'm fed up, so get up and get out)
I was so afraid, now you're gone away
Sent you packing, look who's laughin' now
I'm so happy that I feel this way
I'm so happy that I threw you away

My husband has this song as his ringback tone for his ex-wife. She's gotta hate that when she calls

IMO, I think that "This Love" by Pantera is a pretty rad break up song.

Noo noo!!

The best breakup song is this one that was playing on the radio daily when I was going through my first breakup.
It was very hard to find then and today it seems impossible to find, anywhere. But it went sort of like this:

"It would be easier if, I never met you at all
It would be easier if, I hadn't taken the fall"

"This would be easier if, I never loved you at all"

"WHY - CAN'T I - STOP THINKING OF YOU" (it sort of sounds like Linkin Park but I'm almost + it's not them)

Does anyone remember this one? I'll try to find it for the rest who hadn't heard it.

This one isn't an "official" break up song, but I like it...

...and because Country Music is the best for love revenge songs...

Time to revive another thread since break-ups never take a vacation. Mine is all 3 of these all wrapped into one at the same time:

From the angry point of view

From the mature point of view

From the woman's point of view

To what it's all about really

So yeah, being emotional can have it's drawbacks. Sometimes you see everything for what it is. Like the line in "The Sad Cafe"....... I don't know why fortune smiles on some and lets the rest go free.

Sometimes people just grow apart into strangers.

Sometimes it's just as simple and as cold as that and you can't wrap your coat around it.

Sorry.

Let's have the boss take us out..........

I can't post it here due to T's and C's, but Blink 182 do a good contender for a break up song, depending on how the relationship went of course.

It's called "You "messed" up my life". They may have replaced the word "messed".....if you get my drift.

I once got dumped to Meatloaf's Two out of three ain't bad.
Can't listen to the damn song now without breaking into a fit of giggles.

I'm talking a good ripe Camembert on the cheese factor scale.

Happiest break-up song ever. I can't imagine anyone being bummed after a break-up when listening to it:
