Ah Alex Jones, the fear mongering voice for controlled opposition. Nice to see that he's out and about.

I hope you are aware that ATS is also part of the controlled opposition.

Gotta say, I love how you captured a handshake in one of your pictures! Another part of what you dais that is returning my hope is that you said the cops were being respectful! Once mutual respect is achieved with people in power and people with less power (to say loosely), I think cooperation and change become closer and more plausible. S+F for being one of our "inside people"

I’m with you. Occupy the Fed is something I can get behind. OWS is misguided now because it’s been high-jacked by folks with various agendas. OWS doesn’t address the real problems or provide the real solutions needed. The article below sums it up:

www.shtfplan.com...

As the Wall Street Protests and those spreading around the country are being systematically bastardized and appropriated by those who promoted the election of President Obama, pushed for corporate lobbying, and the massive unions that claim government is the problem, yet ask for more government intervention into our economic, financial, and political lives, there are still some voices that remain true to the original message and intent of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement.

While you will undoubtedly see mainstream media provide airtime for the incoherent messages and talking points of labor leaders, so-called activists for the working man like multi-millionaire Michael Moore, political hacks, debt ridden students looking for handouts, and operatives of the corporate elite, what you won’t see is the following video of a young man delivering a passionate speech (sans teleprompter, of course) denouncing the monetary policy of the federal reserve, fractional reserve lending, Washington’s involvement in State’s rights, and excessive taxation of the citizenry. Additionally, he warns of the serious consequences that will ultimately result from inaction and misguided policy decisions.

The young man interviewed said:

"The depression will be nothing compared to 1930 when it hits us… If we lose America we have nowhere else to run for freedom. There is no country left that promotes free markets, corporations not in politics… There’s no country that has their own sound currency.

There is nowhere left to run.

If we lose America, we lose the world to the elite.

The 1% will continue to get rich, as we all live like slaves.

If you think the way of life is bad now, you will all be living in Projects like Hoovervilles.
We cannot continue to print money. We cannot continue to debase our currency.

…State’s rights. when you minimize government it is easier to control by the people…

…If you don’t like the policy in one state, you go to another state. Because that’s how America was set up.

America was not supposed to be uniform in policy. Each state was supposed to reflect the views and positions of everyone in that state. It is much easier to influence Governors and Mayors than Presidents and Vice-Presidents."

Can someone please ban these con artists/celebrities from these events? Alex Jones is like Rush Limbaugh showing up at a Tea Party rally. It just makes everyone else look like a nutcase.

I don't know much about the whole movement, but I was thinking it was more against wall street and corporations right? Or is it more anti government? I am by far anti capitalist, I think capitalism is a good thing, but I have heard people talk about it being anti capitalist? Is that true? And I saw a picture somewhere of a group of people with this occupy wallstreet. Someone holding an IPhone, most wearing clothing made by corporations, people holding starbucks coffee.. seemed ironic to me.

Where are all the hot chicks?
I thought Dallas was famous for beautiful women. Every movement needs hot chicks. If you just have a bunch of grungy dudes, people will think you are up to something fishy....... or gay.

Thank you for your service.
I mean that with all of my heart.
You and everyone who attends these protests are American heroes
and will go down in the history books as such.

So again,

No. Its not about anti capitalism, its about anti corporate interest in American politics. There are many pro capitalist protesters and quite a few socialists as well. Its a diverse group of people who are protesting pretty much the same thing.

And NOW is the Autumn of our discontent.

Excellent Thread, a BIG
for the pics and your report.

Occupy goes Global 15th October. I look forward to reporting on my nearest event. I will be unbias, asking as many people as I can why they are out demonstrating.

I don't necessarily think there should be one particular issue people are protesting against as there would probably be tens of small groups as opposed to one larger group.

Peaceful Non Compliance. Peace to all.

Peaceful protest is always good news. Thanks for the pics and info. Hope it stays that way and they stay on message and run off the trouble causers when they try to take over. Hopefully Soros and the Democrats don't take this one over.

Too bad about Jones showing up

From what I have been hearing from friends at the Occupy Dallas, there still isnt a single "concrete" demand yet. Next time I get the chance, I will ask Occupy Dallas the same questions as above.

I have been asking for as long as this stuff has been going about what the demands/expectations are.

I hate to tell you this.....ya gotta long wait friend.

The best I get is snotty remarks and desperate confusion.

Good to see Alex Jones out there. He is a bit over the top and can see conspiracies in a bowl of alphabet soup... but his views are usually spot on.

Although with in the last year his Ego has gotten a little out of control but I wouldn't crap on him as harshly as many of you do. He has done more than any of us have and has been awake longer than many of us too.
