lly in the clear.

Some time ago I posted this thread Asteroid passes through Earths GPS Network. Contained in that thread are links to animations created by Mr Pasquale Tricarico showing the transit of a small meteoroid through our little neck of the woods. Well worth a look if you haven't seen them before.

Anyway, Mr Tricarico has come to the party again with a couple of new animations of YU55s transit past the Earth and Moon.

YU55 as seen from Arecibo

The following are links to the new animations.

Riding on the back of YU55

Thanks to Mr Pasquale Tricarico and I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for clearing that up.
Interesting videos. The second one, because it has no background stars, gives the false impression we (riding on the rock) are about to hit the moon.
Would be an interesting spectacle from earth I suppose. Telescopically, that is. There are people looking for such "transient lunar phenomenon".

S/F and one of the best animated diagrams I've seen for YU-55. Thanks! I've bookmarked his site to check back with. It looks like a source for interesting things in the future.
