I somewhat agree with you.

However....Ron Paul is also full of crap.

anti corporate regulation is Ron Paul's crapola.

Two philosophies on the exteme ends...and both are just as wrong as the other.

Both need to move to the center for real solutions.

Except the country has been brought to the extreme left, so it will take Ron Paul's extreme views to center the course of the country. If we bring in a moderate, we will continue drifting off course. Because we somehow let extremist policies flourish, now we have to go extreme the other direction.

Otherwise, if all things were good, I would agree with you, but things are not good and we need a drastic course correction.

Erm... the reason the Swiss franc is so strong is the weak Euro (and dollar, what with you people openly saying you aren't going to pay your debt anymore for no reason every 3 months etc.).
Switzerland didn't do anything to get it there, it's a victim.
Actually the swiss central bank is doing quantitive easing in unprecendeted volumes (printing money), trying to get the exchange rate under control.
See, a strong currency means that foreign goods are cheap (Helping imports) and domestic goods are expensive in foreign countries (Harming exports)
