Sound Off. Can ATS please ban the word "sheeple." For the love of all that is good!!!!

I've been lurking here for 4 or 5 years, finally decided to put up an account last year sometime. All I have to say is that I regret starting to post on here because everything I say makes me a sheeple! I just can't take it anymore. So many new members come on here with their 'infowars.com' tabs open in another window ready to preach the gospel according to Jim *ahem* sorry...ALEX Jones. They refuse to see their cult-like devotion to their own cause! I would like to consider myself an objective learner, I decipher the information and see where it takes me under my own accord. Disagreeing, pointing out discrepancies, and even playing devil's advocate is a cue for someone to call me a close-minded 'sheeple.'

I just can't see any good coming out of that word. None of this NWO, TBTB, GRAND SCHEME BS has ever been guaranteed - and still hasn't to this day! I'm tired of being objective and curious then that leading to me somehow being a sheeple! I mean jeez, at least put a disclaimer near a posting window to show that the word SHEEPLE should be likened to calling someone a NAZI or some other extreme term. It's ridiculous and no-one can actually agree what exactly constitutes someone being a 'sheeple.' I'll just keep trying to fight the just fight. UGH. /rant.

Ah yes, the good ole' WALL O' TEXT haha. It's funny, it looks so easy to read when you yourself write it then you fail to realize that is looks just like a BLOCK O' # to everyone else. I'm glad some people agree, I won't lie though - I used to be a Jone's Totin' FEMA Camp visiting OBAMA Deception 'Sheeple Chaser' NWO nutcase. Finally realized where I went wrong and try to help out others who I see as being brainwashed. Alex Jones has some great things to say, but to many contradictions and places where he goes wrong to take it ALL seriously.

I have been called a sheeple endlessly over the years.

The best way to deal with it is watch the sheeple episode of South Park. It will crack you up and make yourself proud to make another guy call you a sheeple.

By the way, it was a nano-thermite covered cruise missle with a holographic image of a plane cast over it that caused 911.... Hahahahahahahahahaha!

It's interesting how some people become so devoted to an idea that it almost becomes religion-esque to the believer. Sheeple doesn't bother me, as I feel it can only be properly used to describe a closed minded person.

What drives me nuts is people who say they are awake. It oozes narsicism. Maybe I'm missing it, but it sounds like awake people feel they have found the answer. I don't think anyone knows what is really going on and I just hope that awake doesn't mean that they think they know everything. I hope it means that they are awake enough to keep an open moje, and not dismiss an idea without consideration.

ACTUALLY. You're just a SHEEPLE YOURSELF. Everybody knows it was a holographic UFO used as a disinfo flag to distract everyone from the HAARP lasers that ignited small nuclear BLASTS from inside the building. WAKE UP SHEEPLE.

Sheeple is a word that only breeds contempt from those they may be trying to reach, and is a surefire way to ensure that no one will listen to you. Banning the word will only leave room for those that would use it, left to their own imaginations as to what to put in its place, I would assume that whatever that might be will more than likely be worse than the word sheeple. I feel that if more members would actively engage the members that use it, and explain what the word does for their assorted causes, that they would stop using it in short order.

At the end of the day it is a censorship, and I think that the majority of us agree that we wouldn't want to see it here on ATS

I have never read his books, but I have seen him on conspiracy shows from time to time. I could see how that is conspiracy porn. I do like a good conspiracy theory myself from time to time. It is fun to listen too and imagine. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you dont take it too far.

David Icke is brilliant. He is a great salesman. Sometimes I even think he believes most of what he says. That is how convincing he is. I sometimes wonder if he hasnt gone full on ape crap.

No one is really as "asleep" as the ego's on ATS think they are.

Those that call others sheeple are themselves sheeple thinking that they are smarter or better informed. As they point to door A of the slaughter house and cry sheeple, they themselves walk through door B not realizing it leads into the same slaughter house.

OP the most that you can do is that which you feel is the best course of action for you and yours. Posting a comment here or there is either well or ill received through others perceived opinions, nothing more or less. At the end of the day, it is not wither you walked through door A or B but that you walked past the slaughter house.

Whenever I have used Sheeple, it is in a "blind leading the blind" context. Ok, I'm lazy. But typing one word is easier than four.

But I rarely use it.
