Can someone please show me how to attach a YouTube video to a thread?

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SHOW ME HOW TO ATACH A YOUTUBE VIDEO TO A THREAD

iam new here and just can't seem to atach a video to a thread

what does it mean when they ask for the video number

is it the URL or.....

Like this:
This is full URL
www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9ETxBHYBAU&feature=topvideos_music

But you only need to put what it goes after the = :
T9ETxBHYBAU&feature=topvideos_music

Copy only what is in bold letters in this example:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9ETxBHYBAU&feature=topvideos_music

Thank you for asking this...been driving me nuts too. It's not the URL. Tried that. Didn't work.

I will help you, and learn something about it myself at the same time.

First, when you post a thread or make a reply, you will see buttons above the area where you type. One of those buttons is marked "VID:YOUTUBE."

When you click this button, it asks for the YouTube video number.

I will show you which number this is.

When you see the URL to the video, it looks like this, though I had to edit in some spaces:
ww... w.youtube.co m/watc h?v=CQzUsTFqtW0

The number in this case should be CQzUsTFqtW0 .

You should NOT include the part that looks like this: ww... w.youtube.co m/watc h?v=

Now to test and see if I am correct. If you see a skateboarding dog, then my advice is correct. Good luck and have a good day.

Quick cheat-

When in doubt, find a post that's used the formatting you're looking for and hit the QUOTE button. That'll reveal all the formatting used in the post.

Add an & sign to the end
