Everywhere I look, I see everyone talk about why they are out on Wall Street doing what they’re doing. The more I see! The more I look! The more freaking confused I get!

So what is it you want.....?

Free college?
Togetherness?
No more foreclosures?
Free love?
Capitalism?
Chicken nuggets?
Peace?
Communism?
No more financial crisis?
Socialism?
Free Birth control?
Sex, Drugs, rock-n-roll?
Corporate greed be gone?
Love?

I have yet to see a concrete policy agenda from any of you people! Are you all just waiting for something magical to happen? Looks like you’re all waiting for someone to take control! Someone to get you all organized! I WONDER WHO THAT WILL BE? Do we have any bets??? Mmmmmm..Curious!

I have spent the last 2 weeks looking at YouTube videos, Forums/threads/posts, media outlets, and pretty much everything associated with “Occupy Wall Street”! The more I look, the more I feel I’m losing my mind! While doing a search on something or another today, I came across this YouTube video from Alex Jones. I have heard little about the feds involment in all of this, and don’t see anyone on Wall Street addressing them. Why is that?

If you really want to know what’s going on in America, you have to see the video. It makes all the sense in the world! It has changed my outlook. I hope it changes yours as well! You will have to forgive the guy....(He's a little upset)! Oh, and one more thing...Watch the WHOLE video...

WALL STREET ISN’T THE PEOBLEM PEOPLE!

THE FED IS!

YOU ARE MARCHING IN THE WRONG PLACE BOYS AND GIRLS!!!

Well I too have watched videos, and blogs, and livefeed chats and I can say that your post seems to be an attempt to simply discount the people unless they're doing what you want. Look, I know the Fed is a big part of the problem, and guess what, I've seen hundreds of videos where people at the Various Occupy's say exactly that. So get over yourself. Alex should too. I listen to Alex but he's just plain foolish on this one, minimizing the people, saying they are asking for communism. It's pure crap.

The Movement is this, ready?

People are tired of getting crapped on by the 1 percent who own everything. Simple idea.

Let's get the information to all the occupys to make sure they know the Federal Reserve is the problem, as well, but that message is already out in the crowd, don't imagine it's not.

They should just go with 3 things because people are dumb.

1. End the Federal Reserve and erase the make believe debts they have signed us on for.
2. End Corporate influence on Politics and the Media.
3. Bring all American Troops home, close foreign bases. Stop bombing people.

There. I'm sure you could find a LARGE percentage of the Occupy Crowd, and the real world, who would see this.

I plan on making a sign saying this when I go down myself. Include yourselves in the Occupy movement, if you try to "take it over" like Alex is trying, he's just creating confusion and slowing the movement. He should join in and educate, not judge and say "No their's isn't real! Mine is!"

Do you have any idea what you're complaining about?

Complaining about people actually trying to do something about this mess?
Complaining about people that want their fair share.
Complaining about the jobless because they make you feel uncomfortable and you'd rather blame them than look at the real issue?

What is it you're complaining about?

You should get a hundred stars for that post.
It couldn't be simpler.

And there are only two sides:
1. The banksters, the wealthy elite, their cronies running the country and those that support them.
2. The rest of us.

You're either with us or you're against us.

Have you seen the Olberman Special Comment which is the OWS 'manifesto'?

That is your basic answer.

But if you want something more concise - that could be a simple sound bite, I would sum it all up in one word - 'change'.

Ring any bells? Of course the many myriad and diverse changes that are needed can not be done by a single (or even group) of politicians that are in themselves a good part of the problem.

So pick the change or changes you most want to see and join the revolution.
New economic system (includes ending the FED but goes much further).
New political system (where politicians are not bought and paid for by corporations)
New media system which is not dominating by corporations.

Or add you own, The list is not just limited to the above which is what makes the Occupy Together movement unique (and yes - hard to define)

Are you all really happy with the way things are?
If not, then like Obama said "Be The Change"!

There are Occupy Together movements and meetings all over the country:
www.occupytogether.org...

See you at one of them???

Every special interest group out there is going to try to hijack
these protests to try and harness it's energy and to protect their
own interests. We ain't seen nothing yet.

I'm getting seriously disappointed with the alternative press.
Looks like some of them have an agenda as well. Seems like
they are getting their info from MSM sound bytes.

The globalists are behind the protests. The unions are behind
the protests. George Soros is backing the protests! The
protestors don't know why they are there. Give me
a break. ANGER and FRUSTRATION are behind these protests.
The fact that there are special interests groups trying to hijack
OWS does not mean they have or that they even can. But they
are damn sure going to try.

I'm disgusted with Alex Jones. People are finally starting to wake up
but according to him it's not for the right reasons, his reasons, so
therefore they are in the wrong.

If anyone thinks these protestors are there for the wrong reasons then
by God go out there and tell them your opinion. America needs to get
educated. NOW IS THE TIME.

OP You say others (you call em boys and girls) well its men women children too!!! Are waiting for a magical solution???? Well maybe their support is a hell of alot more than you offer with your negative input on the whole!!!!

Maybe you need to have your own reason for being upset and targeting protesters is your way of supporting the cause?

Do you really think threads like this help the situation???

Try being supportive that would helpfull!!!

Everyone has their own reasons to fight !!! Thats their right !!!

So many desperately try to pigeonhole the Occupy movement into a political box.
It's as if they can't comprehend anything without a label attached.

It's a Social movement, not a Socialist movement.
It's about People, not Politics.
It's not about any one thing, or ten things, it's about everything, and everyone.

There are many people out there who simply cannot comprehend something so basic, they truly believe the scatplay we call our economic system is the way things are supposed to be.

They support neo-Feudalists, not realising that they will be peasants just like everyone else.

I believe what the OP is asking is what are the demands? What is it SPECIFICALLY that they are trying to change. I have this problem with people in this movement too. I have asked them directly "What is your goal" and I get a very vague "To change the world" answer that doesn't give me any insight to the movement. I also see that in this thread. 'we are tired of getting crapped on' - thats fine and dandy but this tells me absolutely nothing about Occupy Wallstreet.

these threads irk me because here we have a group of people who are now labled as hippy protesters, yet they are out there protesting...

They are literally doing something vs sitting at home and posting a thread...

Does it really bother you that much that there isnt a strict agenda? Why? Why does that bother so many people? Why do you look for literally ANYTHING you can find to try to discredit a movement where people are standing up, believe in a general cause, and actually get off a couch to show the interest..

People claim that half the people dont even know the real truth and are out there just to be out there, well effin GREAT! 80% of the US has 0 clue as to whats going on, but if they get out and show support that is how one builds interest and spreads the word...

There is no prerequisite to protesting, the only qualifier is showing up. There are so many avenues broken in this country that there shouldn't be ONE agenda....this is a movement for all and any who feel they have been taken advantage of...

so I ask once again, what bothered you so much about this demonstration that made you post this post? Go make a list of unjust in your life and stand down town protesting it...you wont because the wool on your back makes you a sheep.

Ok, im not being rude, just being passionate about ANYTHING being finally done...What do you need to be told? Your life sucks. You have no meaning, half of the liberties you had 20yrs ago you no longer have and you will be a slave for a moderate pay check until your 70 or dead, whichever comes first....

Do you really need an itemized list of demands to JOIN this movement instead of criticizing it?

How does your brain logically not compute a Us vs Them mentality...its vague but its THAT bare bones...

I just dont get how we can sit on a message board and hope and pray that something happens somewhere, then when it begins to happen we back off and nit pick and criticize...

I bet more people would protest if facebook went away...

Actually, it reminds me of the early Tea Party where people had many complaints , but in general were fed up with the way things were. This is a social movement, not one being led by a single leader or major media.

It's also not so different than the anti banker sentiment that once existed in this country. Go back to the early part of this century and before. You would find may average Americans who were god fearing conservatives spitting at the mention of fat cat bankers. You use to see many politicians winning by using that anti banker populism. Strange as it might seem today, it was a common theme in Texas politics.

The thing is, I see what you said. I understand. F*ck the machine, resist, power to the people. But these are just words, phrases. I am asking for IDEALS. What is the purpose? Not "Who are we fighting?" but "WHY are we fighting?" "What will victory look like?" "What changes will be made?" And please, if you are going to answer with something like "Peace is what victory will look like" do not bother. I am looking for real, concrete answers.

I am actually starting to become vastly annoyed by the movement for two reasons.

1. There seems to be a severe lack of uniformity and organization betwixt all the "Occupy__" s. The movement itself is not that large. If you are truly trying to change America it's gonna take a lot more than a few thousand people. It will take millions upon millions. Someone said to me, "5,000 is a pretty decent protest". Maybe if you are protesting against a city park or something. But if this protest is about what I think than 5,000 is nothing. The people in the protest themselves either do not know what the purpose of the protest is or have different ideas than others. Occupy SD where I live, I asked one of them what they were doing exactly, I got, "I dunno."

2. People in this movement, and in support of it, are really hyping it up. Constantly talking about it, shouting it, living it. But this has been going for some time now. I have not seen a change made yet. People seem to think that this is it. The change. That we are on the precipice, the cusp of a new America. To be honest, I don't see it.

@OP
Do you have any idea what you're complaining about?

- I think he does. There is no unified message.

Complaining about people actually trying to do something about this mess?

- What are they actually doing other than throwing a adult version of a temper tantrum. Fixing this will take actual work.

Complaining about people that want their fair share.

- Being born does not entitle you to your fair share. You have to work for it. I wish I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I wasn't. My family was poor and we all were instilled with a stong work ethic and a sense of purpose. Most of us are doing quite well now...but we all worked hard to get where we are at.

Complaining about the jobless because they make you feel uncomfortable and you'd rather blame them than look at the real issue?
- Jobless? That’s funny. The jobs have been sent overseas due to Americans wanting to be paid more than the jobs they are doing are worth. Think unions on this one. Oh, and the Free Trade act as well, which played right into the Corp. hands.

What is it you're complaining about?
- I don’t see it as complaining, but questioning. Does asking questions bother you? If so, you are supporting the wrong movement as they are asking all sorts of questions.

I asked what people were fighting for. And instead of seeing the bigger picture which involves the fed, some assumed I was against the cause. All that I am more or less saying is that people need to go to the source of it all. I see a lot of energy from folks; I’m just asking people to focus it where it needs to be.

I won’t go into the specifics, but I have lost a great deal too. I have many reasons to be upset. The point I am trying to make in this thread, is the fact we are pointing the finger at the wrong people. People are at the wrong place trying to make change happen. If I had any control at Wall Street, I would have everyone get up and march to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Right there on 33 Liberty Street. I would be more than happy to map quest directions, bus routes, and subway routes leading there.

I am not saying your cause is invalid. People are upset! I am upset! BUT again, the problem is the fed! At the end of the day, it is all about the money. If you have control of the money, you have control of everything else.

People really need to WATCH Wall Street. An entity will come in and make promises! They will try to convince you that their way is the right way. It will happen. If it hasn’t happened already.

Best of wishes to EVERYONE trying to make the difference. My prayers are with you all! If I have offended anyone, I am truly sorry...!

The question is, WHAT are they doing?

You can't just go protest without a goal and claim you are doing something....no one knows what they are trying to accomplish.

Sure you can! I went to an OWS gathering with no goal other than to meet and hang out with members of the opposite sex and have a few laughs. Met and had a fine afternoon with a young thing from El Paso.
Politics can wait....

As of right now OWS is a social movement that in time will find its voice, strength and purpose. That is why the OP and other conservatives are so afraid of free expression in that the OWS may eventually grow and become a force of truth that the right is so afraid of.

Now and into the future the OWS will be marginalized and called nothing but a bunch of hippies. Preemptive discrediting like Propulsion and many others are trying to do. Soon main stream working people with join the OWS movement....and then you can bet people will pay attention, change will happen and the slander will end.
