And abuse their power every damn night. they have three shifts. Most cops now a days are ex military. With that military mentality. Everybodies the damn enemy. For every one cop that hates what he or she having to do. There's probally about 5 or 6 that just can't wait to break out the taser or whack away on a protestor with a batton.

All the while chanting that new police slogan " STOP RESISTING".

Just remember that the citizens can arrest the cops.

The three powers are vested in the people. The power to make law, the power to interpret law, and the power to enforce law. That's the Legislative power, the Judiciary power, and the Executive power.

Each citizen has these three powers vested in him.

If the citizens did not have these three powers they could not "hire servants" and "empower them" to exercise these powers.

The police are just the servants hired to enforce the law. If the police get out of line, the citizens can take back that power and arrest and detain the cops instead.

It becomes a battle of wills.

The citizens can make new laws on the spot, interpret those laws according to their will, and enforce that law immediately. The police have no power on their own.

The constitution says "We the People..."...not "We the Police..."

I think you're bing a little unfair to the Men and Women who are wearing the badge. You're assuming that all Cops are not human, and that they don't feel the frustration that most of us everyday Americans are experiencing concerning our corrupt system and the international Bankster Masters of puppets that control it.

Yes, Without a doubt some police officers have a power trip. The truth of the matter is though, that most are good Men and Women. I bet many of them are sitting there in NY thinking the exact same thing that some of the protesters are shouting. They are going home telling their families that they understand, but are just doing their job. Bet on that.

However, You have been misled if you think that most of them work for the enemies within. Fact of the matter is, most of this Nation's local police forces are everyday Americans who love their Country. Law enforcement in largely of all Amercia support the 2nd Amendment and The Constitution of the United States of America. I think that most of them are just as sick and tired of these carpetbaggers in D.C and Wall Street that we all are. They will be challenged for sure, and would you want to make that choice? Give them a little break atleast. ~SheopleNation

In regards to the STL area,

I was watching the facebook page for Occupy St. Louis. What happened was this:

First the Admin was forced to change the name of the page to the location they were at due to some reason cited by FaceBook. So the page changed from Occupy STL to 'Keiner Plaza (the location of the protest).' Then they weren't allowed to change it back due to too many 'Likes' according to FB (seemed somewhat fishy to me personally). So they created a new page and directed traffic to it. Either right before or immediately after that the original creator of the page announced that she was removing herself from running the page due to death threats against herself and her family. Someone else took over and the page has been up since then. Arrests were made today, but most were being released from what I could tell. To me it seemed obvious what was occuring to stop the information from getting out. I do feel that at least some media outlets (online and otherwise) are being told what to do by those in charge.

Just wanted to post what I was seeing. I am not able to go to the protest so I have no first hand information to relate. Hopefully things remain peaceful.

These movement are going to get hijacked this weekend...The far left is moving to keep the masses in an anti-right political stance and the right on Fox is using this to whip all the conservatives into a frenzy blaming this on the left trying to make this into a socialist movement... We have got to keep everyone focus on the Federal Reserve PRIVATE BANKING SYSTEM! Wallstreet it all comes from the federal reserve banking system and the off shore banks that have hijacked our monatary structure system. We have got to get these people focused on the banks. If everyone will notice they are not in a frenzy to protect the NYSE or wallstreet. BUT when people move on the banking system they break out the blacked out military squads. That should tell people that it's the banks...

I think I'm going to go back to mailing off my bills instead of online banking. I would rather buy a money order and mail it with a stamp then deal with the banks. If money is going to be made out there then I want to support the post office. If we don't and the post office ever closes then we pretty much lose the option to stop using the debit cards and online banking.

I don't know if this has been covered yet, but I live near St. Louis and the protesters were arrested for being at Kiener Plaza past curfew. They had permits to protest from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. which is when the park closes. Over 100 police converged on them and were arrested without incident. Here is the most recent article about occupystl from the local news site:

I talked to a friend near St Louis and she hasn't heard a thing. They only thing I can find is an article on line in a St Louis online paper that mentioned 12 arrests for the demonstration. They were arrested for curfew violations because the park they were in was supposed to be vacated by 10pm due to a high crime rate in the area. Hence their arrest. That is all I can find about St Louis right now.

But no one can guarantee your safety or those around you and if you are violent, vandalize and are lawless you should be arrested.

Tell that to the protesters in Egypt, Tunsia, and the rest of the Middle East.

You need to WAKE UP. No matter HOW resistance is carried out against a tyrannical government and/or market, it's better than allowing it. But go ahead... lick their boots and love their laws.

Yeah it really is a shame that the masses of Sheople don't realize that the International Banksters control and politically navigate through their payed yes men and women in the mass media to both the Political parties inside the USA and that these same masters of puppets use this pre-meditated tactic to create the typical chance to herd all the sheople on both sides into a corral where they can continue to be confused and misled by domestic and social issues all while the Wars and the Banksters continue their internationalist Conquest all in the name of The Inerantional Banking CarteL that rules America and Wall Street.

It goes deeper as well. Study early Man, and no I don't mean the Bible. Look up to the sky my friends. Look up every single night as we as a people were intended to do instead of sitting under wood roofs while staring down to computers and I-Pod screens that have turned out to be TPTB's greatest ally for atleast now, and in regards to the roofs over all of our homes, the last 300 years. Which finally, is a shame for Mankind everywhere and anywhere. Look up every night! ~SheopleNation

Beautifully put. It's nice to imagine that the government works for us instead of against us.

This was another honest attempt at asking "What is the goal".

And, again, no answer.

With any movement, there IS a goal. I understand the stated causes and so forth.

Bad banks, bad wall street, ect. Fine. I get that.

What is the target to which these people are being moved to? And what will it bring to the rest of the country?

The lack of a stated goal is disturbing in the least, the lack of "seen" leadership if DEFINATELY a red flag.

I ask again, please explain what the point of all this hippie crap is? I dont want to hear "change".

Change is "from this to that". What is "that"? How will it be implemented?

NO ONE can make "laws on the spot".

THAT is anarchy.

Negative rights for the government and positive rights for the people is what the constitution is about. There are procedures and mechanisms for making laws.

Remember, every law takes away a right. We have FAR too many laws as it is without idiots from college making up crap as they go.

One question.

Why didnt they go after the fed or congress first?

wall street is only a symptom.

With the unions coming in, what was a group of young, idealistic idiots and anarchists WILL be coopted by the socialists.

....but it was going to be anyway. This is how all of the little "revolutions" across the world have went down.

The socialists are firmly involved in all this.

And no, I'm NOT GOP. I'm an independant. I think both parties suck.

I’m sorry to say it folks, but you can’t just assemble, speak your mind, and sleep where ever you want! If the police say you can’t setup camp at a place, and you don’t leave, they will give you room and board down at the shop! Try to have a positive outlook on the situation…”At least you’ll get a free meal”!

Yeah and my problem with this thread is that you don't have any info, you and others are taking to the streets on baseless claims. You dont even know what you are protesting for or who you are protesting against.

You cant be serious?

Just a few reasons, there are a ton of others where do i begin?

I totally agree! I see maybe 1 leader out of the bunch, and 30,000 running around yelling out what the next person next to them is yelling! I’m waiting for Moveon or some run off of Acorn to start pulling the strings. Give it just a LITTLE more time…..
