I'm not trying to stop them. I am trying to inject some much needed critical thought that it is clearly lacking. I have no difference in opinion that things are coming to a head and there are some things that need to be fixed. I just prefer having a clear state of mind before getting my hands dirty, not like I can stop you or anyone else anyways. All I can do is offer you a chance to do the same.

and you assume i'm socialist? one of the main reason's I attend the OWS movements in my state is so I can promote ending the fed...and i'm definitely not alone...does that make me socialist to you?

many people are going for many different reasons...some more ridiculous than others...but go ahead and assume away...

You have a right to assemble peaceably and protest. Provided that you have obtained a city permit and are respectful of the law.

Please demonstrate where in the constitution or bill of rights it states that you must obtain a city permit, must stay back from certain buildings, and areas, etc. in order to exercise your constitutional RIGHT of protest. Thanks.

Just listened to livestream videographer arguing with aGguy Fawkes (faux) masker to chill out and not to instigate "If you care about the movement to become or instigate violence" He mentioned Gandhi, and the masked guy said he doesn't give a F@@ about Gandhi... So i would think they are agents provocatuers in the midst....

you have made broad generalizations and many assumptions in your thread...you are merely trying to drag people into your thread by bringing this one off topic...this has to do with the talk of what could possibly be happening to the san francisco and st. louis movements...

you have changed the subject from what is happening...to the possible motives of some of those behind some of the movements...plain and simple...

i read they shut down St. Louis (my daughter is in ST. Louis) i haven't heard nothin' But it is early morning here...

Listen to livestream S.F. and paddy wagons are pcking up "bad" kids but not telling others what they want them to do... The speaker seems pretty chilled about the cops but the cops have a do not cross line...

i think a lot of the protesters will see the Ron Paul avatar and ignore it - as it seems the protesters are being pretty good at not alowwing the movement to be co-opted by a political party...

If someone from here just posted it you will wreck your politic position by applying it to a movement which isn't accepting political agendas... Fine if you are for Paul and all... You get what i mean, it'll reflect badly to both the 99%ers and to the anti-paul folks...

I know you're going to make more assumptions but here goes...

Lower and middle class citizens have, over the years, slowly been stripped of their social freedoms, their justice, and their own economic freedom in america...when they stand up and fight for it...it is claimed socialist...I can see how it can be seen as such...but it's not right...

When 84% of the total wealth is owned by the top 20% of americans...it's plain to see that the middle class really isn't the middle class but the lower class separated by a large heap of money that seems to be made up out of thin air...

The lower and middle class does not have the luxuries of the upper 20% simply because they are one lay-off or tragedy away from being bumped down into the lower class...

I do not fight for fully socialist ideas...I fight for social freedom and mostly equal society where the "american dream" exists not only in our dreams...but in reality...
