HP, Apple Buildings Locked in Cupertino multiple homicide manhunt

www.wired.com

Hewlett-Packard’s Cupertino campus was shut down on Wednesday while local police searched for a suspect of a multiple homicide still on the run who shot and wounded one of the company’s employees. At least three of Apple’s Cupertino, Calif. campus office buildings were also locked down in the wake of the shooting, Wired.com has learned.

Interesting this happening on the same day of Steve Jobs death. The man will surely be missed.

Just came across the article on Wired.com website. Thought it would make for some good discussion.

Not trying to stir up the conspiracy pot, but I'd say it's a bit of an eerie coincidence given the circumstances...

I had just finished reading about Steve Jobs
death and then I saw this thread. I didn't even
get thru the second line as I was thinking how
strange this happens today. I hope they get
the killer and soon.

Were yopu referring to the post above you or the fact that this happened the same day as Steve Jobs death?

Have they released any info on the shooter yet?

I haven't heard any updates,
perhaps soon. Will keep an
eye on media releases.

Mercury News has it at 3 dead, 7 wounded.

You can google Richard Farley and Laura Black for what is probably the worst workplace shooting in Silicon Valley. In this case, it took place at an old cement plant, not a high tech company. In fact, I find it odd the shooter went to that side of town. It would have been way easier to go high in the Santa Cruz mountains. Manhunts in the Santa Cruz Mountains can go on for weeks.

You don't imagine this isn't something planned and that the killer they choose to set up would be guilty do you?

The real world is not like that.

He probably doesn't want it to last weeks, he either wants more notches in his gun or a shootout with law enforcement. A guy in his frame of mind wants to make a splash going out, a blaze of glory if you will.

They know his name and a lot about him since it was a workplace shooting, he has nowhere to hide and he knows it.

Sorry, not sure I know what you are saying.
Perhaps you could word it in a way I would
understand as it is a reply to my original
posting. Thanks
